On September 30, Walt Disney Records unveiled Nightmare Revisited with 20 fresh recordings and beloved covers of the music, mayhem, and merriment from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Danny Elfman returns to recapture the musical landscape he masterfully created for the original The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack with two brand new recordings of the "Opening" and "Closing." Adding a new tantalizing twist to Nightmare favorites, Nightmare Revisited also boasts an eclectic array of today's music superstars including Korn, Amy Lee, Plain White T's, Rise Against, Rodrigo y Gabriela, The All-American Rejects and more. So much for the official plug. And as probably all of you know by now, Anna Hathaway will be joining the cast of the already rolling Alice in Wonderland movie. She'll be playing the White Queen, a benevolent monarch who is deposed and banished by her sister, the Red Queen, who has an affinity for crying out, 'Off with their heads!' I bet the Red Queen is Helena Bonham Carter. Gotta love her.

Hollywood starlet Anne Hathaway is set to star in Tim Burton's movie adaptation of Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland," entertainment industry press reported Tuesday.
 
Hathaway, who is generating early awards season buzz for her performance in "Rachel Getting Married," is to play the White Queen in Burton's retelling of the classic children's fantasy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Burton movie regulars Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter already have signed on for the Disney project, with "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Depp to play the Mad Hatter. Australian actress Mia Wasikowska is to play Alice. Hathaway, whose other film credits include "Get Smart" and "The Devil Wears Prada", will next be seen in horror thriller, "Passengers."

It is just an absolute classic that cries out to be heard regularly - there's always something different to enjoy.

Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter are now both going to be in the movie. Anne will be playing the White Queen, a monarch who is ousted by her sister Red Queen played by Helena Bonham Carter.

Helena playing the Red Queen isn't a big suprise to many, however I wasn't expecting Hathaway at all. She is really becoming a successful acrtress in Hollywood, and starting in a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movie can only help.

Check out the movie for yourself when it's released in 2010. We will definitely be covering more stories on the movie as it comes closer to its release.

Anyway, Burton would probably do a good job with the Pirates movies especially since they're supposed to be focusing on the past (at least that's what I've heard) when Captain Jack and Barbossa were looking for the Fountain of Youth. I think it's very plausible that this is what the 4th movie is going to be about because another one of the rumors is that Geoffrey Rush has signed on for the 4th movie as well. I do think it would be a better idea for Orlando and Keira to return in this movie seeing as how Will Turner is now immortal and Elizabeth isn't. They could even make it a few years after the end of the last movie so Will's son could be older and go looking for Jack's help or something. But currently I've heard no rumors talking about Keira or Orlando returning so that probably isn't going to happen.

Captain Jack's brother (when did he ever mention having a brother and where was he in the last movie when all the pirates faced off?) is also rumored to show up in this movie. From what I've heard, it's either going to be Sacha Baron Cohen or Russell Brand (you know that crazy guy with the biggest white guy fro I've ever seen that scared people at the MTV award show lol). Sacha's played in a movie with Johnny Depp before (he was Pirelli in Sweeney Todd which I still need to see!) but I haven't really seen anything of either comedian's work. I do think it would be good to have someone with a sense of humor playing Jack's brother though :D . That's all for the current rumors though.

Si en la tarde de ayer recogía la noticia de la incorporación de Anne Hathaway, y Helena Bonham Carter, al elenco de actores del nuevo film de Tim Burton, ahora cuelgo tres imágenes de su rodaje, que ya circulan por internet.

En esta podemos ver a Burton, dando instrucciones a su protagonista.

Y aquí podemos apreciar la caracterización de época de la joven Mia Wasikowska, que por su vestimenta nos da la pista de que la acción tendrá lugar en el tiempo en el que Carroll escribió su libro (1865).

No es mucho lo que hemos podido ver, pero es un aperitivo de lo que se nos irá filtrando de esta “Alicia”, en el año y medio que nos queda por delante hasta su estreno.

El pasado mes de agosto se confirmaron los nombres de Mia Wasikowska y Johnny Depp, para encabezar el nuevo proyecto de Burton, y dos meses mas tarde, se va completando el reparto con otros dos, que se unen a “Alicia” y a “El sombrerero loco”.

Anne Hathaway, actriz en alza en estos momentos, y Helena Bonham Carter, esposa de Burton, y habitual en sus películas, son los nuevos fichajes.

Hathaway dará vida a la “Reina Blanca”, desterrada por su maquiavélica hermana la “Reina Roja”, (o “Reina de corazones”), papel que será interpretado por Bonham Carter, a la que escucharemos decir a lo largo del film: “¡Que le corten la cabeza!”.

El nombre de Christopher Lee está sonando también para encarnar a uno de los personajes de la historia de Lewis Carroll, en versión Burton, pero de momento, no ha sido confirmada su presencia.

La que sí parece confirmada, es la de Matt Lucas, el versátil actor de “Little Britain”, que interpretará el doble papel de los gemelos “Tweedledee” y “Tweedledum”.

El film, cuyo rodaje se inició el 23 de septiembre, y no en noviembre, como en principio se había dicho, va completando así su reparto, y levantando cada vez más expectación entre los que somos seguidores de su director hasta su estreno, que esta fechado, al menos en USA, para el 5 de marzo de 2010.

Kat Dennings (Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist) will join Woody Harrelson (Semi-Pro) in the superhero-themed comedy Defendor, while Jesse Eisenberg (Cursed) will join him in the horror comedy Zombieland, which we've previously talked about.

Brandon Routh (Superman Returns), Gil Bellows (The Weather Man) and Martin Donovan (The Sentinel) have joined the cast of the terrorism-themed thriller Unthinkable from Australian director Gregor Jordan (Ned Kelly), which we've also previously mentioned. The film will start shooting on October 20th in Los Angeles.

Unsurprisingly since she shares his bed, British actress Helena Bonham Carter (every Tim Burton movie since Planet Of The Apes) has joined the cast of Burton's Alice In Wonderland currently filming adaptation, as has Anne Hathaway (Get Smart). The actresses will play the Red Queen and the White Queen respectively.

It is scheduled for release in March 2010.  Anne Hathaway (White Queen), Helena Bonham Carter (Red Queen), Mia Wasikowska (Alice) and Johnny Depp (Mad Hatter) have already confirmed their roles in the film.

I already have my concerns regarding this film though, as Tim has stated he intends to use a mixture of live action with animation, whilst being made in 3D...so I will hold these till I see a trailer.  But it looks like Tim is going from strength to strength with all the current films he is making.

MTV News confirmed Helena Bonham Carter will be playing the Red Queen and Anne Hathaway will be playing the White Queen in Tim Burton's version of "Alice In Wonderland".

We already knew that Helena Bonham Carter would get a role but didn't know which role she would get, now we do.

Film is sounding good so far.

I wonder who Burton is going to get for the The Queen of Hearts, The Knave of Hearts and the King of Hearts. I also wondering who's going to play the Duck and the Caterpillar.

Is Danny Elfman going to do the score for this film as well?

A while back, I reported that Tim Burton had found his Alice for his upcoming take on the beloved Lewis Carroll novel in the form of Mia Wasikowska down under, and later it was reported that the Mad Hatter role had been given to Burton's long time collaborator Johnny Depp. Today, it appears that Burton had to look no further than in his own home in terms of casting the Red Witch. Once again, in a bid to cut casting costs, Helena Bonham Cater will join forces with her husband, portraying the ghastly witch whose vocabulary is pretty much limited to “Off with their heads!” in his live action/performance capturing enhanced film, their idea of erotic foreplay I assume. On a less predictable note, he cast Anne Hathaway to play the White Witch, the kind and caring sister of the Red Bitch, who needs Alice to slay a creature known as the Bandersnatch, apparently. Take an old story and make it new, that's what. Alice in Wonderland is the new story in a long line that Tim Burton is working on to make new. It will be part CGI and falls in line with many other movies he has done.

Johnny Depp will play the Mad Hatter. Now how apropos is that? I can see him turning this character into who knows what if Tim will grant him liberties. In the past they have been known to take liberties with such creations as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd, etc. I for one will be glad to see this old story creation twisted by Tim Burton.

so i found out super great news:   three of my favorite obsessions are coming together.   tim burton & alice in wonderland & johnny depp.   anyone else as excited as i am?!    they are saying it should be out around march of 2010.....i am already impatient.   i can't wait to see how burton twists it.   Also depp as the mad hatter....i'm in love.

we had already planned on doing a group halloween effort.....suprise suprise......alice in wonderland....with me as the mad hatter.   now its like a tribute.....i wanna darken it up a little.   lets make this sick and twisted.

i was having a shitty day today.   feeling rejected and what not.   i guess the whole justin thing still gets to me, even though i know it shouldn't.    i've seen lavender and it's not pretty.   i'm pretty and awesome and very good to the people i care about.....and if a boy can't see that, them fuck 'em.   that said, i am gonna stay single for a bit......spend time with the girlfriends and just work on me.

so my boy roommate has company.   its like he's running the skank train.....first stop.....our living room.  please keep the herpes confined to you bedroom please and thank you.   ugh, gross.
