I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chicago to go through some Flash software training. I stayed on Michigan Avenue at the Essex Inn and was amazed, right across the street, at how beautiful Grant Park and Millenium Park were. When I was growing up we used to frequent Chicago from our home in South Bend and I didn't remember it as a particularly clean place. It was always interesting and I enjoyed my trips there, but this recent trip solidified it as a town I'd like to take my family to visit.

I was there by myself so in the evenings I would throw on my iPod, grab my Nikon D50 and go on photo walks. This area was great for photography as the park has numerous objects of interest. I could have attached the typical Millenium Park "Bean" shot to this post but I really like the look of this photo from outside the Art Institute. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the city and the progress they have made. Get there and enjoy.
