A Compliment...I think

A friend of mine referred to me as a Blue Footed Boobie (see photo). We saw it in JPG Magazine... "a natural comedian," it said. The passage also referred to the term "boobie," deriving from the Spanish word "bobo," which means dunce. Oh dear, the more I read about the Blue Footed Boobie, the worse it gets (Priscilla stamps her feet). I won't spend this whole post quoting, but let me just mention one more thing. This animal is notorious for landing on boats where it is then captured and eaten (like other seabirds). It comes from the Galapagos Islands.

I like the natural comedian bit. Everyone wants to be entertaining, right? The part where the bird flies towards its enemy reminds me of something...almost like spying (on yourself) for your enemy. There's also the idea of throwing yourself towards danger in a reckless manner or giving your enemy more ammo to fire back at you. Do you do this? I do this. It's strange, isn't it?

Sometimes when I'm talking to someone that I know doesn't like me, I'll give them more reasons to dislike me. I tell them things that might fit in with their stereotype or version of me they have in their head. Then, I back up and watch the ugliest part of them come out and show itself. I don't always do this, but when I do it's fun. It demonstrates somebody's core values.

We had core values in the Air Force. We had to memorize and repeat these over and over again.

Except unlike propaganda, it was promoting moral character, integrity, fortitude, honesty, and loyalty. A lot of what the military trains you to do in Basic Training, is to become a better person. (Did I mention the sexual education videos that grossly demonstrate extreme cases of STDs?)

It's all about self improvement today. I'm going to create my own core values and drill them into my head so that instead of throwing myself to the fishermen, I can repeat the values under my breath and evolve. It's not always good to be the Blue Footed Boobie, but I am jealous of her shoes (size 9 please).

Shame on you, newscasters. why does it take a stand up comedian to hold the bullshitters accountable? This isn't American Idol. This is the freakin presidential election! For leader of the free world! Put on your thinking caps and put the boxing gloves on and do your job!!!

Jon Stewart, will you marry me? You seem to know my inner thoughts that I scream while I watch the news...the thoughts that the 'liberal' media aren't addressing.

Everyone needs to see this clip where the flip flopping comes from the sanctimonious and ridiculous right wing.
