I had a weird dream last night. Well, actually all of my dreams are weird-ass. I can never understan

I had a weird dream last night. Well, actually all of my dreams are weird-ass. I can never understand any of my dreams and how my dreams progress from one ridiculous scene to another totally unrelated, but equally ridiculous scene. Something like the Scary Movie series, but weirder.

I dreamed that I was in my grandma's old house. The details remain fuzzy, but I remember escaping from a battle/fight... then I end up at the lawn at the back of the house.

Then I started fighting/sparring with my friends (huh? WTH?). I was doing Brazilian jiujutsu (BJJ), kyukushin karate, savate and some weird ass self-defence moves I created myself. Then I was discussing with my friends about which martial arts is most effective and which one I prefer and all those crap.

I woke up and was like WTF?! But it was a nice dream. Better than wet dreams =P. I so totally enjoyed dream-sparring with other people. I like sparring and fighting. It's my idea of fun, thrashing and being thrashed around. My dad didn't allow me to learn martial arts as a kid because I was too small size. I am like WT-CCB-FH?! (I can never understand my father. Nothing he ever does to me ever makes any sense or benefited me.)

Sh1te! I must have been watching too much of Fight Quest on Discovery channel recently. It was a damn nice show, and I love it! All those martial art stuff Jimmy and Doug do looks like so much fun.

Given the chance, I'd like to learn taichi chuan, wing chun and savate... and be really good at all those, then maybe a little hapkido or kyukushin karate or muay thai or krav maga or kajukenbo or Amok knife fighting. I'm so bl00dy greedy --- wanna learn everything. =P

Taichi because it is the most graceful and dance-like. I like graceful stuff, like how I like dancing... or watching other people dance.

There's only one reason to learn Wing chun... Bruce Lee. Also because of its economical and fast moves (wing chun was originally designed for women, according to one version of history. And it fits me being a small guy).

French savate because it's precise and dance-like moves. Savate's hits are all on sensitive+vulnerable body parts e.g. solar plexus, liver, Achilles tendon, arm pits. I saw Jimmy kena kicked in the liver during training. It wasn't even a hard kick, just a light tap by the savate champion. And he was squirming on the floor macam nak mati. Fulamak, I've gotta learn it!

But all those I want to learn does not complement each other very well. All 3 are only effective if you're standing. If you fall, you've got no choice but to grapple. Then Brazilian jiujitsu becomes useful --- only when grappling on the ground.

Overall most well rounded are krav maga and kajukenbo. Both are no holds barred, very violent and main objective is to survive in real situations. You learn to fight standing up and how to keep standing, and in the event you go to the ground --- how to fight on the ground. Krav maga takes it further... everything goes including gouging the eyes, kicking the groin, breaking bones, etc. The more I talk about it, the more I feel like I wanna punch something right now. X^D

Sir Deveril was right, the magician had disappeared.
‘That’s brilliant,’ he cried,

Sir Deveril was right, the magician had disappeared.

'That's brilliant,' he cried, 'absolutely brilliant! Come back now and give us our swords!'

There was no reply.

'Reappear, please!' called the knight. 'We really need those swords!'

He waved his hands around in the air to find the invisible magician and felt up and down the walls of the cave.

I ran outside and stared around, but, apart from Samson and Delilah shivering by the river, our valley was empty. I returned to Sir Deveril, who was grovelling in the recesses of the cave for the magician.

'Can't see him,' I said.

'Well, if he's invisible, you wouldn't.' He stood up. 'I suppose he couldn't played a trick on us, Tevis?'

'He seemed genuine enough to me. I expect he's had some problem with the magic. I mean, it's dangerous stuff, isn't it?'

The knight sighed.

'You're probably right. Oh, Tevis, I'm so tired. I think we'll sleep now and then, maybe, when we awake, the magician will have come back.'

He lay down in a corner and was instantaneously unconscious. I, however, remained awake as my mind mulled over recent events.

I stirred from a dream of fierce wolves and bears to see bright sunlight streaming through the cave's entrance. Harness jingled in the distance. I rose and went outside to see how of the horses were. A robin sang from a hawthorn and a competitor answered from across the river.

Samson and Delilah raised their heads to greet me, then returned to busy grazing. I took food suitable for breakfast from the saddlebags, returned to the cave and woke Sir Deveril.

'Has that magician come back?' he asked.

'I'm afraid not.'

'Well, we can't afford to wait for him any longer, but we've lost our weapons - and that's the worst thing which can happen to a knight. But haven't you still got that sword you had before I gave you mine after the conflict with Sir Marcius?'

'No. I didn't want to burden Delilah with more than necessary, so I left it in Lady Juliana's armoury.'

Sir Deveril chewed his lip.

'Tevis, we're defenceless.'

'We have the maces and lances.'

'They're not the same. You've no idea how vulnerable I feel without a sword.'

'You'll win another one,' I said.

For a moment the knight looked doubtful. 'Will I, Tevis?'

'Oh, yes. I'm certain of it.'

Sir Deveril seemed reassured and gave a lop-side grin.

After breakfast we continued to follow the river downstream. Sir Deveril deduced from the position of the sun that it was still flowing westward.

Round a bend we saw that our valley opened out as the stream joined with a much wider river. Our path wound on for many miles, sometimes following the riverbank and, on other occasions, meandering through daisy-filled meadows.

The track, as it progressed, turned into a rough road and the hillside on our left rose and closed in. Here the valley narrowed to pinch our route between the river and a rocky outcrop.

Suddenly, a knight appeared before us. He rode a white stallion and carried a blue shield emblazoned with a golden griffin. He raised his visor.

'Halt! I am Sir Conal of Kintbury and this is my road!'

'Is it really?' asked Sir Deveril. 'Well, I must say that you've made an excellent job of it. Smooth, dry - we like it, don't we, Tevis?'

'Yes. It's an excellent road.'

'What I mean,' said the knight, 'is that if you want to use it, you must pay a toll.'

'How much?' asked Sir Deveril.

'One mark - each!'

'It's a good road, but it's not that good. Anyway, Sir Conal, I don't have a mark.' Sir Deveril turned to me. 'Have you got a mark, Tevis?'

'Oh, no, I've never had a mark. I haven't even seen one.'

Sir Deveril turned back to Sir Conal.

'There, you see, neither of us can pay. I'm afraid you'll have to manage without our money.'

'You cannot walk upon my land,' said Sir Conal, 'without payment!'

'Did you make it?'

'No.'

'Then it's not your land, though both you and I must tread on it. Try to stop me if you can!'

Sir Deveril dropped his visor, lowered his lance, and spurred Samson to a charge.

Sir Conal raised his shield, but seemed ill prepared for the knight's sudden onslaught. He missed Sir Deveril completely with his own the lance and took his opponent's spear on the side of his helmet. The impact shot out of his saddle to land awkwardly on the verge.

Sir Deveril whirled Samson around and poked Sir Conal with his lance.

'I'll grant you your life in return for the spoil of your goods. Tevis, remove Sir Conal's sword and the tolls he extorted from innocent wayfarers.

'I didn't extort the tolls,' protested Sir Conal. 'I tell you, it's my road.'

'Another word,' warned Sir Deveril, 'and all you'll possess of God's good earth will measure six feet long. Tevis, put anything that this man might use to cause harm to others upon his horse and lead it behind Delilah. We must press on.'

He turned and rode onwards, the brilliant sunshine glinting upon his armour.

We came into Hungerford and took lodgings in the Bush, an inn which a man in the street reckoned as the best. Its landlady welcomed us like long lost sons. She dragged us inside the house, sat us at the table and fed us badly cooked food until we could bear no more.

'How far is it to Wroughton, Jane?' asked the knight, when she gave him a mug of adulterated ale.

'You don't want to go to Wroughton, Sir Deveril. You ought to stay here. It's much nicer.'

'Why?' I asked. 'What's Wroughton like?'

'Don't know,' said Jane. 'Never seen it, but those who have tell me it's not nearly as good as Hungerford.'

'Did those who've seen it say how far away it is?' asked Sir Deveril.

'Between ten and twenty miles. Go up the high -'

'Hey!' shouted a man in the corner. 'I'm getting hungry, old woman! How much longer are you going to gossip?'

'Don't you call Jane an old woman!' I shouted.

The man rose and walked across the room to me. He was tall, dark-haired, and wore a sword on his belt.

'If I want to call her an old woman,' he said, looking down at me, 'I shall call her an old woman.'

I rose, but the big man still looked down at me.

'It'll take more than a boy to stop me.'

'Excuse me,' I said, 'but I'm a man and a squire.'

He laughed, then drew back his fist and threw a punch at my face. I swayed to the left and hit him in the ribs. He stumbled backwards and fell over a bench. When he scrambled to his feet, he had a knife in his hand. I drew my dagger. The man looked at it, laughed pulled out a sword.

'Leave the peasant alone, Fergus!' yelled voices from the man's table.

'I'm not a peasant!' I shouted, but a lunge from his sword forced me to take refuge behind a couple of chairs.

Fergus advanced cautiously, sword outstretched. I retreated behind a table. Fergus circled the furniture - so did I.

'You stupid, stupid men!' screamed Jane. 'Stop this fighting and get out of my inn!'

We ignored her, searching each other's faces for signals. Soon Fergus grew tired of orbiting the table and jumped on top of it. I hopped backwards, picked up a chair and swung it at his legs. He tried to leap over it, but misjudged his timing and fell sprawling across the table top. I grabbed at his sword arm, but he rolled out of reach, fell off the table and smashed into three seats.

'Don't break my furniture, you vandal!' shouted Jane.

I tipped the table over to land on Fergus. He gave a cry of pain, rose from the debris and hopped across the room.

I picked up a broken chair leg and struck at his thigh, but a trestle got in the way and splintered my weapon. Fergus turned and gave a backhand cut. I dodged the sword, tripped over a bench and rolled to avoid a lunge at my neck.

I got to my feet, ducked a thrust to the head, picked up a chair and threw it at Fergus. It missed him, but a second struck his shoulder. He reeled against the wall, giving me the chance to bend his arm backwards until he let go of the sword. It fell to the floor, to be snatched up by Sir Deveril.

We were now both out of breath, puffing and panting amidst a mass of broken furniture.

I raised my fists to continue the fight.

'Apologise to Jane,' I said.

Fergus turned to the landlady.

'I'm sorry,' he said. 'I shouldn't have called you old.'

'Get out of my inn, you beast!' screamed the woman. She turned to Sir Deveril and me. 'And you can go, too, you great drunken louts!'

'We're not dr-'

Sir Deveril interrupted me.

'Don't argue, Tevis, it will only make matters worse.'

He took my arm and hustled me into the street.

'Look around for another inn,' he said, 'and, by the way, you've acquired a most reliable sword.'

The album title is fun. I have a feeling this is their last album. This feeling comes from no factual evidence, just a mere feeling. Keisha looks good with all that cleavage. The typeface could have been a little different, as the have a history of fun ones but this is just blah. I feel it could have been a single cover. With that album title they could have been under a huge spotlight pulling each other's hair out. I would have likes that better. Something like Amelle would be pulling Heidi's extensions while Keisha stands in the back with a baseball bat. In any case, I am bored in the lobby waiting for the car to get me to the airport and I am just babbling on. Oh, souvenir shop... perfect!

Frustrated Muslim demand for larger autonomous region in Mindanao could lead to war.
DUBLIN, October

Frustrated Muslim demand for larger autonomous region in Mindanao could lead to war.

DUBLIN, October 6 (Compass Direct News) – Militant Islamists in the southern island of Mindanao have stepped up their attacks on majority-Christian villages following the failure of a peace agreement that would have enlarged an existing Muslim autonomous region there.

With Muslim commanders of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in the southern Philippines yesterday saying ongoing support from the international community was necessary to prevent a full-scale war breaking out in Mindanao, both Muslim and Christian residents in the disputed territories were fearful of what the future might hold.

“The problem is that many people living in these areas don’t want to be part of a Muslim autonomous region,” a source in Mindanao who preferred to remain anonymous told Compass.

“The closer you get to these zones, the more nervous people are,” he said. “The town of Kolambugan, where most of the fighting took place in mid-August, became a virtual ghost town for a while. It had a population of 25,000. But people are slowly returning to their homes.”

A Christian family from the area said many people were afraid to sleep at night because they kept hearing reports that they would be attacked at midnight.

“When MILF forces attack Christian villages, Muslim neighbors are afraid that Christians will retaliate against them, even though they have nothing to do with the violence,” the source added. “This has happened in the past.”

He also explained that some moderate Muslims are drawn to support the MILF because the rebels claim the Christians have stolen their ancestral homelands. Communities in Mindanao often struggle with extreme poverty.

“If MILF is successful in gaining control over these lands, the people assume that their economic situation will improve,” he said. “So although they want the fighting to stop, they sympathize with the MILF.”

While the conflict is primarily political, religion plays a significant role. As a member of the Moro Youth League stated in an Aug. 5 national television interview in the Philippines, “As a Muslim, in order to live in a righteous way, you need to be living under sharia [Islamic] law and with an Islamic government. We believe we have the right to fight for this.”

Other Youth League members on the program agreed that sharia was a primary objective of autonomy, and that Islam was the only “real path of doing anything in this world.”

Violence Erupts

Some 2,000 MILF supporters yesterday held a protest march in Marawi city, Lanao del Sur, appealing to the United Nations and the Organization of the Islamic Conference to compel the Philippine government to revive the aborted peace agreement that would have enlarged the existing Muslim autonomous region in the south.

Breakaway MILF commanders on Aug. 18 attacked several majority-Christian villages after the Supreme Court prevented the Aug. 5 signing of the Memorandum of Agreement on Ancestral Domain (MOA-AD). The agreement potentially would have given the MILF power to establish an Islamic state governed by sharia law.

Christian leaders in Mindanao appealed to the Supreme Court when they realized that if they voted against inclusion in the proposed Bangsamoro Juridical Entity (BJE), their majority-Christian villages would become small islands in the midst of MILF-administered territory. As a result, they feared, they would be forced to move elsewhere.

Incensed by the 11th-hour stalling of the agreement, three MILF commanders on their own initiative led attacks against towns in North Cotabato and Lanao del Norte provinces on Aug. 18, burning homes, seizing livestock and killing at least 37 people. Another 44,000 residents immediately fled the area.

When some Christian residents armed themselves in defense, Secretary of Interior Ronaldo Puno warned that anyone carrying weapons would be disarmed.

The MILF has only 11,000 active fighting men, according to local estimates. But by Aug. 20, the National Disaster Coordinating Council had reported a total of 159,000 people displaced by the rebel attacks.

The Philippine army quickly retaliated, sweeping villages in an attempt to seize the rebel commanders.

After two weeks of violent clashes, the Philippine government officially abandoned the MOA-AD. Spokeswoman Lorelei Fajardo said President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo would seek a new agreement based on consultation with legislators and local politicians rather than negotiations with the MILF.

Furthermore, the government would concentrate on the “disarmament, demobilization and rehabilitation” of MILF cadres, Fajardo said.

In response, MILF leaders rejected any renegotiation of the peace deal with Arroyo’s administration.

Overcoming Prejudice

An opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on Aug. 7 stated that the MOA-AD would only reinforce prejudices between Christian and Muslim communities.

Under the agreement, WSJ claimed, the government would further divide Mindanao into Muslim and Christian enclaves, increasing the likelihood of territorial disputes. Separating Muslims from the rest of Philippine society, it stated, would encourage a vision already held by MILF to help create a pan-Islamic state covering several countries in the region, including Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

Finally, the WSJ said, less Philippine control of Mindanao would “invite even more terrorist activity in an area that already has strong ties to al Qaeda.”

While there are proven terrorist leanings in groups such as the MILF and the Abu Sayyaf, not all area Muslims approve of or engage in such activities.

Camilo Montesa, a key figure in peace negotiations, in his blog on Aug. 30 described an encounter with a young man who believed that Muslim residents would readily seize property from Christians once the BJE were formed.

Others told Montesa that, “Muslims were scouting and marking the big houses of Christians in Cotabato and staking a claim over them in anticipation of the signing of the peace agreement.”

“The hearts and minds of the people are the battlefields, and not some hill or base camp,” Montesa concluded. “There is a limit to what arms and war can produce ... It is unfortunate that we are so divided as a people at this point in our national life.”

Reclaiming ‘Ancestral Domains’

As Islamic identity strengthened in the Middle East after World War II – and as many Philippine Muslims traveled to study in Middle Eastern countries – certain sectors of the Bangsamoro population became committed to reclaiming “ancestral domains.”

Their claims dated back to the rule of the Sultanate of Sulu, which existed prior to Spanish colonial rule in the 1500s, and the establishment of the Commonwealth of the Philippines in 1935. When the last sultan died in 1936, the fledgling Philippine government refused to recognize his heir, effectively eradicating the traditional Bangsamoro power base.

When the Philippines became a republic in 1946, its constitution allowed for the establishment of an autonomous region in Muslim Mindanao. Initially the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) fought alone for this autonomous territory; in 1977, however, MNLF member Hashim Salamat – who had studied in Saudi Arabia – and his followers seceded from the movement and founded the rival MILF.

The Philippine government signed an agreement with the MNLF in January 1987, and territories were added to the resulting Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) through a series of plebiscites or referendums in 1989, 2001, 2002 and 2006.

MILF commanders later laid claim to a further 712 villages outside the ARMM.

Negotiations between the government and the MILF began in earnest in June 2001. Both parties were to formally sign the resulting MOA-AD on Aug. 5, a deal which could have led to the creation of the separate Bangsamoro Juridical Entity, or fully-functioning state, replacing the ARMM by 2010.

When details of the agreement were leaked to the press, however, Christian politicians in regions of Mindanao affected by the agreement appealed to the Supreme Court, which in turn issued a temporary restraining order on the signing of the agreement on Aug. 4.

Report from Compass Direct News

Astros pitcher arrested in wedding reception melee
By MONICA RHOR, Associated Press Writer

HOUSTON (AP)—Astros pitcher Brandon Backe was among 10 people arrested during a brawl with police at a weekend wedding reception in a Galveston hotel bar.

The bride’s father, 19-year-old brother and a FEMA coordinator were also arrested Sunday at the hotel, a command center for emergency workers after Hurricane Ike went through Galveston Island on Sept. 13.

Police spokesman Capt. Walter Braun said an internal affairs investigation has been launched.

The 30-year-old Backe, a member of the wedding party, ignored police orders to back away from the fight, and struggled with officers who attempted to handcuff him, according to police reports.

One officer said he hit Backe twice in the face before handcuffing him. Both the officer and Backe sustained minor injuries during the fight, according to the police report.

“We are aware of an incident involving Brandon. We have spoken with him regarding his version of the event. Since this is a legal matter, any further comment on our part would be inappropriate,” Astros spokesman Jimmy Stanton said in a statement.

Backe was charged with interfering with a police officer and resisting arrest, said Joel H. Bennett, Galveston County assistant criminal district attorney. Both charges are misdemeanors. He was released on $1,500 bond.

Backe, a Galveston native, joined the Astros in 2004 after two seasons with Tampa Bay.

A recent fist fight between two men left one dead and the other sitting in jail. A forty three year old man beat a forty eight year old man with is fists. He later died at a Texas hospital. This fight was said to be over a women.

When I read this article all I could say was wow. I could never imagine killing someone just because of someone else. If you love someone strong enough you should not have to kill another. If you are meant to be together it will happen. This man had no right taking another man's life just because of some girl that he will probably never see again. He is more than likely going to sit in jail for the rest of his life for murder. So this fight basically got him no where he wanted to be and losing the girl he so called "won." Fighting never seems to solve anything and just creates more problems for the people involved. People need to start thinking before they act and situations like this can be prevented.

Dear J-
We take drastic steps when we believe that we’re in peril — the fight or flight

Dear J-

We take drastic steps when we believe that we're in peril -- the fight or flight reaction. The rumors you hear never seem to sound quite so urgent until they start talking about those things close to you -- family, work, life. You hear and you don't want to believe, you don't want to get involved, but most of the time it's already too late, isn't it? The anecdote that keeps running through my head is that you never hear the bullet that hits you: as they're traveling faster than sound, you're shot before you hear the shot.

We spend time worrying about things we can't change, though, instead of doing what we can, where we can. I remind you that all the extra time, all the extra hours spent in the paralysis of indecision could be spent chipping away. Journey of a thousand miles, single step, you know. A life lived a minute at a time, hour by hour, not looking too far forward, nor casting a backwards glance; is that really ideal, either? Aren't goals a form of looking at all the work you have in front of you?

Miles pass underfoot; time slips by and leaves us breathless in its wake. Whether or not we choose to change, whether or not we continue to learn, the rules morph into something new. Good enough changes day by day. When do skills start to elude you? What rungs on the ladder remain forever blocked? Where do you decide your comfort zone goes this far and no further?

Can we continue, this world divided, this nation double-yoked end-to-end instead of side-by-side? I've said before that the main reason I went East for school had to do with learning out of my depth, but it reinforced what we all have in common. An essential humanity, a universal America, a belief and a hope that this can't be the end, this isn't the final, we can pull it around and succeed. Are we realistic?

Here is the fight

Here is the fight

At the end of the fight, the announcer says that Kimbo is fighting the reff. No he was not. Watch closely. If he was then the reff would have been more handsy. Saying this made it seem like Kimbo was more disoriented than he really was. His amazement was that the fight was already over.

The Shot

There is no "Magical Kick" that knocked the wind out of him. What everyone calls a kick, is Seth's leg and foot in the air trying to put something between him and Kimbo. I don't care what form of fighting you call that. The annaouncer makes it clear that Seth is a kung fu student. The ground foot is wide open for a stomp and a push down. The punch traveled 6 inches. Unless this is Bruce Lee's Myth coming true. It did not knock him out. The punch landed on the nose and mouth of Kimbo. Not his left eye. The 6 inch punch happened while Seth was air born and moving backwards. Watch his footing as the punch lands. He had no foot on the ground, and was moving back away from Kimbo. At most that was a 7 lbs limp hit.

Kimbo taking four solid punches twice as hard

Watch the video 39 seconds into it he tells the dude to punch him. I posted that to make the puds who claim glass jaw, STFU!

Kimbo was not knocked out. he was hit the same time he lost footing. the guy hits kimbo on the right side of his face and body about 10 or so time. But kimbos left eye brow is busted. How is this? He fell on the floor. Kimbo did not cover, because the punches did not hurt. It's that damn simple.

I am sorry to ruin the whole great white hype of the Mixed Martial Arts. But Kimbo is a whole other machine.

If he didn't throw this match. Then when the rematch comes around and kimbo makes due on his loss. Some of you lil tweaker punks are gonna scurry or become kimbo fans. I am sorry but that was a total fluke fight.

He isn't there to roll around on the floor with you in your underwear, he is there to break your head. Grappling is a last resort. It has become to much of a common thing. These clowns choke out 7 outa 10 fights now days. How? Well back in the old day they would smash your face if you got close enough, then grapple when they got tired, well a few won that way. So now everyone thinks it's the way to win... no it's what you do when you are tired.

If there is no rematch, Kimbo Sold out.

News!!!!

A recent reading that I did, “Semiotic Domains: Is Playing Videogames A ‘Waste of Time?

A recent reading that I did, "Semiotic Domains: Is Playing Videogames A 'Waste of Time?'" discussed the literacy value of videogames when compared to other such literary values as books. Frankly, I never considered the nortion that games could have a literature value because one does not 'read' a videogame as much as one does so for a book: one plays, interacts, or immerses oneself in a videogame

However, we were discussing the notions of first-person shooters in class. In our discussion, we asserted that to a degree, videogames do have a literacy value in a sense that the player must keep track of a multitude of information at any given time. Take, for example, Command & Conquer, a military strategy game. I, as the unit commander of an assembly of soldiers on the screen, must be aware of a multitude of factors, including how many units I possess, the location of my base and its weak points, my power level and financial holdings, the location of the enemy, his assets, his capabilities, and his weaknesses. At any given time, I have enough time to process this information at a slower and more calm pace compared to first-person shooters. FPS, as they are so called, are more fast-paced, and the player must be aware of his health and armor levels, radar system, locations of friends and enemies, his weaponry and ammunition, and if he throws a headset into the mix, he must be prepared to interact with his teammates and relays commands, responses, or instructions in order to better defeat the enemy.

The point is that while videogames do not necessarily envelop the idea of literacy in the same manner as a book, there is a still a requirement to involve oneself in the information intake and processing procedures of the videogames if one hopes to better learn how to operate and survive in the field of electronic gaming.

Additionally, the idea of real-world videogame applications were discussed in the forms of the game controllers. Aside from games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero, which allow you to play musical instruments as controllers, the U.S. military is utilizing X-Box 360 and Wii controllers in order to pilot their Unmanned Ground Vehicles and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, as today's soldiers are familiar with such controls. It is the videogame controller which has revolutionized the manner in which we play videogames and operate today's futuristic robot combat systems.

See, Jack Thompson? Videogames can't be all that bad!

I got into a fight with someone in the family. This particular person doesn’t like me becaus

I got into a fight with someone in the family. This particular person doesn't like me because they think I'm a spoiled little brat and hates how I feel that I "deserve" to act like a part of their family. I wrote the letter because I don't want everyone else to feel uncomfortable. It really hurts her Aunt, my dads fiancee, that she won't even try. I could care less, there are enough people in the world that I can ignore the ones that dislike me and surround myself with people who like me! It's just hard when it's in the family. And since my dad and I haven't been in this family for 5-10 years, I'm not a part of the family and I have no business "telling her what to do".

Anyway, I wrote this person trying to feel out the situation and ask them to try to accept me into their family. Last year the holidays were filled with tension, and I just wanted to not have everyone feel uncomfortable this year. This person felt like it was a personal attack and started telling me that I'm a spoiled brat, no one in the family really likes me they're just being nice, I'm not intelligent because I choose to go to community college, and I can't hold a stable relationship.

Well, damn! Looks like I messed this up a bit. It all started because I posted something on myspace saying that I had spent time with a couple of her family members during my busy weekend. She texted my fathers fiancee ((Michelle)) saying that she was done with me because she felt that I posted that to rub it in her face. Because everything I do is obviously done to piss her off. Like the tattoo I got on my foot to fit in with her, because she got on first. I mean....really? Sigh, oh well!

And the relationship thing.... I'm sorry, but dating around when you're young is TOTALLY normal. You do it, not to marry the first person you date, but to find the characteristics you would like to have in a life partner. It's a normal, healthy thing.

Anyway, she said that if I am at Thanksgiving, she will not be. The End. I have to say this, and Michelle is the one that said it first, I'd like to see her explain that one to her parents, it won't fly! Then she'll bring up the letter I wrote and make me out to be a giant bitch and a half... Well...I printed those letters out, Michelle has read them. There's no getting around what was actually said. Plus she was text messaging Michelle all day yesterday "She's crossed the line!", "If she's at Thanksgiving, I won't be!", "I'm done with Khalila", etc... and I was sitting right there!!! Hahahahahahaha! In fact, I'm the one that texted her back saying "Do not get me in the middle of this", but only cuz Michelle was driving and she couldn't. Still kinda funny though.

Siiiiiiiiiiiigh! Oh well. Ernie calmed me down last night, he said I was more stressed than he had ever seen me before! I'm cool today though! And that, is my update.

I am a mixed martial arts fan just like the next alfa male, but this guy who write for yahoo is a shmuck. There is no way you can count out Kimbo Slice. He is a monster period. I've watched plenty of footage on this guy and he represents Dade county Florida well. I'm not saying that he can't be beat but I feel like last Saturday the referee stop the fight pre maturely. I've seen Kimbo get beat on and restled to the ground by a much more punishing contender, I can even say he lost that fight but not last saturday and its definetly not over... Dan

Kimbo, a famous street fighter, who has joined the MMA game this year, was knocked out in the match on 4 Oct. His opponent was supposed to be Shamrock, however replaced by a younger fighter, Seth Petruzelli, just hours before the fight. Is it the reason of his loss? I think Kimbo has made a big mistake by putting his face directly open to the fist of his opponent.

Can the people who fight for Equality, Compassion, Love, Peace, Truth, Honesty, Generosity, Integrit

Can the people who fight for Equality, Compassion, Love, Peace, Truth, Honesty, Generosity, Integrity and Justice expect to be rewarded? Why?

Some people live to take advantage of others, thinking only of themselves, causing Fear, Pain, and manipulate others for their own gain.

Can we expect those in the first group to be rewarded and those in the second group to be punished?

Should we expect this?

This world is a war between Good and Evil. The people who fight to make the world a better place shouldn't expect to be rewarded. The world is a horrible sanctuary. Its dark and lonely. It is selfish and arrogant. Why would anyone expect something Good to come out of it? The people who fight for Good are rewarding themselves with the thought of a potential Good. The outcome of the world depends on how successful they are during the war.

But this all depends on your point of view. Who's right and who's wrong? What are the morals of the Ultimate soul and everyone that makes right, right?

Love.

Why is Love right? It makes you sacrifice your most cherished possessions. You compromise your morals for it. Love makes way for greed and selfishness. Love hurts.

Pain.

Why is Pain bad? It helps you grow. You become tough and learn to play through it. Your weaknesses turn into strengths.

These are where points of view become twisted and distorted. What makes you right? If you're wrong, do you know it?

So you ask if the people that fight for all that is Good in this world should be rewarded. No if you're really fighting for Love, Peace, Integrity and Generosity, then a thanks shouldn't matter. This world needs Unconditional Love. The difference between just regular, everyday love. Unconditional. Without anything in return, in a moral sense.

But the world doesn't work this way. The Good is broken and the Evil is raised up and worshiped. The Evil is rewarded while the Good is punished. What has this world come to? Is everyone so blind that the Good is Evil and Evil is Good? Who's winning the War of the Ages? Who's losing?

This world is Evil. It's almost impossible to produce Good from it. Paint is the same way. If you take White paint and ruin it by pouring in even the smallest bit of Black, it will turn Grey. It is White no more. You will never have White again from that mixture. So why do people "fight for White"? There has got to be some higher sense of power involved. Something so Divine, that anything is possible. No reward is needed, for that is not the reason for which we fight.
