An enormous mea culpa for disregarding our own company blog the past few months and turning it into somewhat of a ghost town instead of the wonderful interactive communication tool that it's supposed to be. Please please please accept our sincere apologies, and mark our words: we will do our best to communicate more clearly what we're up to from now on, by any means necessary. :)

Since the beginning of this year, we've been heads down in making sure the Yuntaa online interface and the desktop application Yuntaa Manager develop into a state-of-the-art online file backup, storage, synchronization and sharing system that not only lives up to the standards users have grown accustomed to with the wave of new web applications, but exceeds them by a long shot.

We have so much exciting stuff to share with you about us as a company, our product features and what we have in store for the future, but instead of overloading you with information, we're gradually going to release a number of did-you-know-that's and other articles here on this blog and in our brand new newsletter.

You'll find that Yuntaa is turning out the be the perfect extension of both your real life and the digital bits and pieces that you leave behind while living it!

Thank you for reading our freshly revived blog, and we look forward to setting up a constructive dialogue with you in order to grow the Yuntaa community and our services beyond your expectations (and possibly our own).

I don't have that much to tell you about this week, but I'll tell you what I do have. To tell you.
I, of course, brought home more manga and stuff home after this week: vol 1-13 of Bleach, would've had up to 14 if I hadn't accidently bought two copies of vol 2; vol 1-4 of the kiddy shojo manga Shugo Chara!; vol 3-5 of the ever so awesome Fullmetal Alchemist; vol 4 of Sgt. Frog/Keroro Gunsou (or maybe I did that last week?); the first volume of the new Swedish manga called Kick Off!, just a little bit better than I thought it'd be (honestly, I though it'd be crap); vol 1-2 of REBORN!/Katekyo Hitman REBORN!; and hey, that's not all! I also got a package (although by then I was already home) with vol 19 of Negima! and vol 1-4 Fairy Tail and the third and latest issue of YEN PLUS. Yeah, I've got lots of reading ahead of me, and with my not-old-at-all speakers have broken by not being used for a week (I mean, come on! Geez ...) that's a real good thing. Not that'd I wouldn't've enjoyed it otherwise too. That's not all, folks, I also did lots (and by lots I obivously mean almost nothing) of other, real fun stuff, mostly with the girl next door. ;)

Have it good folks (why the h*ll do I keep saying that!?), see you next time. Btw, I'm leaving again on Sunday. ^^

P.S. Since, as I told you already, my speakers won't work as they should I can't watch any anime right now. Do you know how depressing that is after a week of waiting for just that!? You probably do or don't, I wouldn't know.

The project will hold a kick-off at Norwich, 24 - 26 september. We will keep you "posted" during this event.

Jag skrev igår att jag var mycket positivt överraskad av den första volymen av mangan. Jag tycker att Yokaj har lyckats väldigt bra, i såväl historien som men alla de skämt och humorn i serien. Jag var mycket överraskad och rekommenderar till alla andra där ute att stödja Yokaj och köpa deras manga Kick Off.

Spirit. Är det en tillfällighet att det engelska ordet bara är svenskans "sprit" fast med ett extra i? Nej, jag tror inte det.

Can our players stay out of bar fights (and cheating scandals.....and domestic violence charges....and the damn injury report)? Will someone ever explain why a guy gets paid to hold Coach Bowden's wired headset (as if wireless ones don't exist)? Most importantly, how many visiting fans will I punch in the face in drunken rage?

Yes friends, your questions and mine will be answered. No matter the results though, our nights will always end at the bottom of a beer bottle. So start training early to get your liver in mid-season shape. You'll probably need it.

We recognize that by fluke of calendar and NFL scheduling, the Monday of our first week falls on a holiday.  So it is going to be extra hard to eat well today if you are having or attending a party.  If you are grilling, there are plenty of healthy things to grill.  See Jeff's July post on grilling.  On the other hand, if you have today off, it should be easy to fit in an exercise.  You have all day.  We are looking for 20 minutes of vigorous or 30 of moderate.  All the details are here.  Good luck, have a great week, and be sure to work hard enough to rack up a win this week!  -- Jim Ballard

Kick-off event
Ieder half jaar gaat standaard van start met een evenement bij Ad Rem, met ditmaal de Lichtfabriek te Haarlem als locatie. Na een presentatie met alle feiten en cijfers werden smakelijke culinaire hoogstandjes vervaardigd. UC maakt voor Ad Rem een vlotte impressie van de avond. Dit was evenement nummer 1 voor Ad Rem, more to come!

Yahoo! Fantasy Football:  Your goal is to get the best team on the field each week, since the better your players perform in real-life games, the more value they bring to your fantasy team.  While you sit back and watch your team progress through the season, we do all the hard work of gathering statistics, computing point totals, and updating standings.  Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football PLUS runs throughout the entire 2008 football regular season, which begins on Thursday, September 4, and is scheduled to end on Sunday, December 28.  Sign-ups begin in early June and continue through Friday, October 17.

Create a Custom League and personally invite only those managers you want to join. As the league founder or commissioner, you can configure virtually all aspects of your league, from the scoring system to the style of draft.  To join someone else's Custom League, you must get the League ID# and Password from the commissioner.

If you don't have enough managers to build an entire league yourself, join one of our Public Leagues and compete against fantasy fans from around the world. All Public Leagues use the same default settings. You'll randomly be placed in a league with other managers who have chosen the same draft type and competition level.

Join a Head-to-Head League and square off weekly against other managers. Each manager sets his/her lineup based on league requirements and is matched up each week against another manager according to the league's schedule. Whoever accumulates the most fantasy points -- based on your league settings -- wins the game. Weekly results are then tallied into an overall record.

Join a Points League and simply set your goal on being the highest scorer. Set a weekly lineup based on league requirements and hope your players collect more fantasy points than anyone else's. Points are tallied throughout the football season, and the team with the highest total at the end of the year wins the league championship.

There are three different draft options available to managers in Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football.  Participate in a live online draft, where each manager selects a squad in real time. August 08 das Kick-Off zur Bekanntmachung ihrer professionellen Netzwerke CREATIVE CONNECTORS und GOERLZCLUB auf der Ewerk Dachterrasse in Berlin Mitte. „Swinging Ladies and Gentlemen“ als Auftakt mit 200 exklusiv geladenen Gästen: BBQ, Live-Entertainment und 360° Panorama über den Dächern Berlins war Sommerfest, entspanntes Netzwerken, Geburtstagsparty und Kick-Off gleichermaßen.

Dem Kick-Off wohnten neben Protagonisten aus Kunst, Mode, Kultur, Musik, Politik, Industrie und Wirtschaft auch Szeneprotagonisten und Geburtstagsgäste von Yasmine Orth bei, die um 0:00 die Geburstagskorken knallen ließ. Ein Swing Kurs für Absolute Beginners, die Djanovis live, blutroter Dracula Prosecco  und Helsinki Mule rundeten den Abend ab. Handling (utdrag från Yokaj)

Andreas är en högstadiekille som på ytan är perfekt. Han är snygg, en duktig fotbollsspelare och har bra betyg. En drömkille helt enkelt. Men en olycka förändrar allt. På andra sidan staden bor Krille, också han en högstadiekille, men Andreas totala motsats. Krilles vardag kantas av otur och han känner sig ständigt bortgjord inför sin drömtjej. En dag på väg hem från träningen upptäcker Krille att han är förföljd. Av någon - eller något - som han inte kan fly ifrån, och som ingen annan kan se. Han inser snart att det är ett spöke, närmare bestämt Andreas. En mystisk kraft verkar tvinga dem att vara tillsammans och varken Krille eller Andreas är särskilt förtjusta i situationen. Men hur reagerar Andreas när det visar sig att en tjej i Krilles klass är spökjägare? Och tänker Krille försvara sin oönskade följeslagare?

Säga vad man vill, Yokaj Studio har gjort en riktigt bra manga. Den är riktigt bra tecknad och med en riktigt underhållande story. Många kan säkert känna igen sig i många av de situationer som uppstår mellan Krille, Jenny och alla de andra vi får träffa i historien. Yokaj lyckas även med alla de skämt som kläms in mellan radera och bildrutorna, jag tycker faktiskt att det var riktigt underhållande läsning och klämde ur mig några riktigt skrattsalvor. Jag ser verkligen fram emot fortsättningen och kommer nog stödja Yokaj hela vägen med den här serien. Hoppas på många fler och spännande serier från det svenska Yokaj Studio.
