Silly me!!!  Now for the deal sealer!!  I purchased guaranteed signups to my MLM website page from Joseph Then with http://www.goodmlmsignups.com/, where they claim "All leads (amount according to your demand) are rock-solid guaranteed to be received within 30 days or else you get your money back! This is too ensure you don't risk anymore than already did before!". 

Liars, scams, cheats, thieves - I could go on and on about these charlatans.  I have actually given them two good tries and the same thing has resulted each time.  Beware, these jokers operate under different website names but sell the same fake, phony, services.  For example, http://www.trafficsignups.com/guaranteed_signups.html, http://guaranteedsignups.org/.

And this rubbish even has the audacity to publish ezines bragging about his own scammy business:  http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Truth-Behind-Guaranteed-Sign-Ups&id=43164.

I stress to you, don't believe the hype.  It sounds good and it could work, but it doesn't.  He is a liar and a scam and Paypal, www.paypal.com is helping him get away with it. 

Now back to Paypal. 

The Facts:

1. I purchased 25 signups for $40.00 to my MLM website through Paypal, www.paypal.com from http://www.goodmlmsignups.com
2. I waited patiently for the signups to begin.
3. I logged into my http://www.goodmlmsignups.com backoffice and saw 8 signups listed.
4. I checked my MLM website backoffice and saw 0 signups listed.
5. I sent a support ticket to http://www.goodmlmsignups.com via the contact form on http://www.goodmlmsignups.com.
6. I recieved a reply from Joseph Then with http://www.goodmlmsignups.com stating that he would need to check with his staff to see where my signups were not in my MLM website backoffice.
7. I continued to see signups accrue in my http://www.goodmlmsignups.com backoffice and none in my MLM website backoffice. 
8. I continued to email with Joseph Then with http://www.goodmlmsignups.com concerning the discrepancy.
9. He responded by refunding my Paypal account $16.00 of the $40.00 I had paid him.
10. I filed a dispute with Paypal, www.paypal.com and escalated it to a Paypal claim.
11. Paypal, www.paypal.com responded that they were unable to decide in my favor because these were virtual goods.

Well, WTF?  He obviously scammed me!  What are they saying???  Is it okay to use Paypal to scam people if your goods are "virtual"?  That is beyond crooked Paypal, www.paypal.com.  I can say that is all the proof I need to signup with a different payment processor.  I just don't know which one yet.  I was scammed by someone I didn't even know, but the worst part about it is that I was scammed by someone that I thought I did know and someone I trusted.  I was scammed out of $24.00 by Paypal, www.paypal.com.  Regards,

PayPal, el servicio de pagos utilizado por millones de personas alrededor del mundo, tendrá que devolverle el dinero a los usuarios que han sido defraudados después de comprar en eBay.

La protección se aplicará a los usuarios que gasten más de 150 libras en un producto a través de ese sitio de compras.

Se llegó a esta decisión después de un largo tiempo de presión por parte de los usuarios. Los límites previos eran injustos para los usuarios, quienes pensaban que comprar en la calle era más seguro que comprar por eBay.

eBay also announced this morning that it was cutting 1,000 permanent employees and several hundred temporary workers, which equals about 10 percent of its global workforce.

EBay Inc. said on Monday it will cut about 1,000 employees, reducing its work force by about 10 percent.

The online auction site also said it will get rid of several hundred temporary workers and reduce open positions.

EBay said the reductions would streamline its organization. The company said it expects restructuring charges of about $70 million to $80 million, mostly in the fourth quarter.

EBay also said its third-quarter earnings would be higher than it predicted in July, although revenue will be at the low end of its expectation. It is scheduled to announce third-quarter results on Oct. 15.

EBay, in a statement released by its San Jose, California, headquarters, also said it was acquiring US online payments business Bill Me Later for 820 million dollars in cash and 125 million dollars in employee options.

EBay said the global workforce reduction was intended to simplify and streamline its organization, improve the company's cost structure and strengthen the overall competitiveness of existing businesses.

"While never an easy decision to make, these reductions will help improve our operations and strengthen our ability to continue investing in growth," said John Donahoe, eBay's chief executive.

The job cuts are expected to result in pretax restructuring charges of approximately 70 million dollars to 80 million dollars, with the charges predominantly recorded in the fourth quarter of 2008, eBay said.

It's not the purpose of this article to illustrate what are its benefits, how man users it has, what is its worth and who started it (you can find this here). The purpose is to demonstrate that Paypal security has an extremely dangerous flaw. Sounds like a sensational fact meant to draw attention but it's up to you to decide after you have read this article. It's your money. Literally.

The main idea is - if you know someone's Paypal registered email address and his phone number or address you can impersonate him and reset his password for the Paypal account. Many sites have this option but what many sites also have is an email validation for resetting the password. In other words the account security is completely tied to the security of the email account.

Paypal will reset the password after supplying the email address and phone number or postal address. It's true - it will notify the account owner about this via email, but what happens if the account owner doesn't read that email until too late?

So let's assume that there are 1000 people who know your email address and your phone number or postal address.

Taking the possible (unwanted) scenario step by step:

1. click the 'forgot password' link on the Paypal login page (this step will only eliminate 0.002% (*) of the potential malicious users mentioned above)
2. fill in the email address and the captcha code (this should eliminate another 0.02 of the 1000 people mentioned earlier)
3. on the next page select 'Phone number' (then 'Home number ending...' if it's not selected automatically) as the verification method (the number of those who can't do this is really negligible)
4. enter the phone number and click 'continue' (0.002% won't be able to pass over this)
5. on the next page enter the new password (0.002% will fail)
6. you are logged in !

So, this leaves you with almost ALL the people who know your email address and phone number or postal address, being able to reset your password for the account at Paypal.

(*) the numbers are approximated and set using the assumption that morons are trying too.

The other scenario (with using the postal address instead of the phone number is not hard to imagine if you read the one above.

Very important: This is NOT a how-to steal someone's money tutorial! This issue is addressed only for making the users aware of the danger and take the appropriate measures.

There are definitely plenty of way to not let someone get away with this but why get into this trouble?

What you can do?

1. make sure you check your email that you have registered with Paypal as often as possible
2. make sure your postal address or phone number are not published (this one is not really an option in many occasions)

The other way, using the 'Forgot your email address' link, one can determine the email address of a user using his name, postal code, phone number and eventually the last 4 digits from a registered credit card.

Using the email address and the other details the malicious user can break into someone's account by resetting his password.

A client who has moved to Hawaii emailed me asking which flat iron we suggested.  We have used many different irons over the years and our current favorite (by a long shot!) is the GHD.  The comapany makes a number of different models.  I think the highest priced models are a bit of overkill for the home user, so I suggested that she purchase one of the low to mid-range models.

She looked around online and was startled by the price.  Then she found one on ebay for a great price and snatched it up.

Still many eBayers, especially in the past have obeyed PayPals orders to try and release their funds being held to ransom by PayPal.

The sad fact is, many never see a refund. Why? Simple. The address to return the counterfeit item doesnt exist or is incomplete. It is sent to never never land. The eBay fake flash seller for once, is actually able to tell the truth. They never received the counterfeit back. How could they? They gave the wrong address to the victimized eBayer!

Selling counterfeit flash drives is illegal. The sellers know this. They like what they do. The profits are terrific. Like any criminal - they don't want to be caught. That means covering your tracks, making sure there are no obvious trails leading back to you. As we have presented in many articles, the fake flash sellers on eBay are no dummies. They are skilled in lies and deception. It is a business. Criminal and illegal - they don't want to be sent to prison, they want to enjoy the good life fake flash profit bring - at your expense!

SOSFakeFlash has observed that if an eBayer contacts the seller before filing a dispute with PayPay, they get one address. If they file a claim they get another address. Usually there is a Hong Kong address and an address in Mainland China. So which is THE address? Good question. Nobody knows.

FakeFlashStopper is very experienced with Counterfeit flash drive sellers on eBay. Many times over having been through the return to the fake flash sellers ordeal. FakeFlashStopper reviewed the addresses and said:

Also I would like to point out, some of the addresses that paypal ask you to return back is of cause and most likely to be not a real one! So if you are require to return the drive, it a very likely chance the seller would not have recieve the drive (or would have but lie and say did not) and paypal cannot confirm you have return it - so No refund!.

Take the 2 different address above, and notice wat the different: Address 2 only provide the suburb, town, village and post code. But the problem is which street? which building? etc.

I don't think SOSFakeFlash can make it any clearer. pengsoloshow is in trouble and does not want the fake flash drives returning to a real address. The same applies to most of fake flash sellers.

Posted at the begining of this month. FlashStormer made it pretty clear about return addresses. If you use the Negative and Neutrals tool to check out complaints against a seller and see many disappointed eBayers who sent items back and still did not get a refund, now you know why - the items went to fake addresses or incomplete ones.

SOSFakeFlash does not advise you risk breaking the laws of your country to use the Postal System to transit counterfeit items. The severity or penalities very much depend on your country - some are more strict then others. You now have another reason to avoid doing this - you will spend more money on postage and still risk never getting a refund. If a seller tells you they need the drive to as proof to claim against their source for fake flash acquistion - they don't need you drive - they just need to test one they have on hand.

If you can prove to us that you have contacted each and every person who bought the drive model from you and can provide supporting evidence from both buyer and pay pal that you refunded in full, with shipping and handling, you can contact us to discuss removal. You have done enough harm and damage to others - it is time for it to end. Are there eBay sellers who have contacted buyers and refunded? Yes. There are sellers who have integrity caught up in fake flash drives.

The ones who refund and contact buyers are the victim sellers, they are not the fraudsters that need to be stopped.

Any drive on this list is a beacon. You can be 99% sure that the rest for the same listing are fake too. We have been able to prove this over and over again when we investigate a seller deeper. The only thing that is clear, eBayers are trying to warn each other. Often their warning get lost in the volume feedback of a sellers feedback. Setelah sekian lama menunggu hasil dari blogging, akhirnya tercapai juga.
