Als sie tags darauf wieder aufwacht, liegt ihr todgeglaubter Mann plötzlich neben ihr im Bett. Und wieder am nächsten Tag ist ihr Mann tod. Linda wird immer verzweifelter, ist das alles nur ein Traum? Oder versucht ihr das Schicksals ein Schnippchen zu schlagen? Sie versucht dem auf die Spur zu gehen, und schon bald muss sie feststellen: Sie erlebt die ganze Woche nicht in richtiger Reihenfolge, sondern zu unterschiedlichen Tagen. That is exactly what happened to actress Sandra Bullock and her new dream home in Austin, TX.  After years of waiting and just a few nights in the home, she has moved out and sued the builders for shoddy work. She plans to demolish the house and start over. 

Reading that account reminded me of a story I had come across years ago. A major contractor was taking an extended trip to Europe. He gave his foreman a million dollars to build a house. One of the conditions of building the house, was that whatever savings the foreman could accrue in the construction would be his. Well, the foreman skimped in many areas of the construction and saved almost half the amount he had been allotted.  When the owner of the company returned from Europe, he looked over the house and received the foreman's report.  The foreman was quite proud of how well he had done, not actually telling the owner about the quality of materials - or lack there of - used in building the house.

When the tour was finished, the owner was true to his word, but instead of writing the foreman a check for what he had saved, he simply handed him the key and said, "Here, the house is yours."

At the closing of Jesus' sermon on the mount, he said that those who hear his words and fail to incorporate them in their life will be like someone building a shoddy house with an unstable foundation. Those people who hear AND do what he has been teaching will be like the one who builds their house on a solid, unmovable foundation.

Make no mistake, we are builders. Each one who claims the name of Christ is a builder - a builder for life. As such, we either hear and not do, or hear and do. We can skimp or we can give our very best. Either way, one day, Jesus is going to hand us the key and say, "Here, the house is yours!"

     "Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.

Turns out that Larry Mendte, a KYW Anchor in Philadelphia, was jealous over his co-anchor, Alycia Lane's, popularity and salary. He hacked into her email account and leaked some "ill-gotten personal information" to Philadelphia Daily News. He has confessed that he had hacked into it hundreds of times.

Hacking into someone's email account is a felony. Let that be a fair warning to everyone out there.

You think this is something most high schoolers would do but you're wrong - adults do it too - even the most professional ones who are in the public eye. I think he watched The Net, one too many times.

Question: Who has it easier in life, men or women?

Answer: “God made us to share and have differences. Men think that the faster way to go to a point is to go straight. Women know that the faster way to go to a point is to go to the curves”.

Yes, that is the answer the winner of the Miss Universe Pageant gave to her final question. And they say the pageant isn’t based on looks. And how many times is the media going to replay Miss America falling on her butt for the second year in a row and speculating if there is a conspiracy going on. Where is Sandra Bullock when you need her.

Speaking of odds, which will happen first…a woman president or the end of these damn beauty pageants?

Remembering 28 Days: Rediscovering the Intimacy of Love

28 Days is the story of a successful New York City writer who is living in the fast lane and is everyone's favorite party girl. She shares her roller-coaster social lifestyle, hopping back and forth from dance clubs to bars and the morning after hangovers, with her boyfriend. Ahí están, los máximos responsables de la situación que nos está tocando vivir a escala mundial, incluso, aunque mucha gente quiera pensar lo contrario, por encima de Zapatero y sus secuaces.

Sus nombres, Abdallah Salem el-Badri y Jean-Claude Trichet, secretarios generales de la Organización de Países Exportadores de Crudo (OPEC) y del Banco Central Europeo (BCE), respectivamente. Por sus manos pasa cualquier decisión sobre el precio del petróleo y el precio del dinero, es decir, gasolina y Euribor.

Y siguiendo la cadena hacia abajo, cualquier aspecto que se toque tanto en uno como en otro, acaba repercutiendo en cualquier cosa que imaginemos, los tomates de la verdulera buenorra de la frutería de debajo de casa, nuestros sueldos, los condones y hasta el tonillo con el que Matías Prats abre sus apocalípticos noticiarios.

En fin… todo lo que nos rodea está siendo manipulado y toqueteado por los caprichos de los manazas estos. Es normal entonces, que, cualquier especulador y/o político de tres al cuarto, piense “¿Y por qué yo no?”, de forma que ya tenemos el follón liado, con todos metiendo mano, dando opiniones contrarias e intentándose colgar la medallita. Según el bueno de Matías Prats, el caos total a las puertas del verano.

Por lo visto, el Badri y el Triché (parece la típica pareja cani montada en una motillo preparada), aparte de unos cachondos al más puro estilo Paco Gandía, son los más cualificados para sacarnos a todos del apuro. Y no dudo ni de sus conocimientos de macro-economía global, ni de su experiencia en tan complicadas ciencias, pero en esta situación de CRISIS GRAVÍSIMA (¿Oyes ZP?), creo que, con los sueldos que ganan, no les quita el sueño que tenga que pagar 90€ más de hipoteca al mes, o que para llenar el tanque hagan falta 30€ más. Es más, creo que les trae al pairo asfixiar con medidas que, a ojos del pueblo llano parecen caprichosas y sin sentido.

Por eso, como perjudican a los de siempre, a aquellos que, como John Rambo, viven día a día, se han ganado la antipatía mundial, cosa que sólo Javier Clemente y Sandra Bullock estuvieron a punto de conseguir, quedándose a las puertas.

Seguramente si yo estuviera en el (los) pellejo(s) de esas cotufas trajeadas, lo haría rematadamente mal, y no duraría en el cargo un día, pero al menos me iba a hartar de reír un rato poniendo el Euribor al -10%, y que los bancos tuvieran que, por una vez en la puñetera vida, apoquinar al cliente.

Así que aunque lo estéis haciendo por el bien de todos, y quiero pensar bien, y recalco eso de “todos”, por no poner “unos pocos”… no puedo evitar el deciros que me cago en la leche que os han dado de mamar, no sin antes mentaros a la puñetera madre que os trajo al mundo, zubnormales.

¡¡¡…y qué a gusto me he quedado!!!

Bullock attended Washington-Lee High School where she was a cheerleader, participated in high school theater productions and dated a football player. She graduated in 1982 and enrolled in East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. During this time, she worked as a waitress at a restaurant. She later left school during her senior year (Spring 1986), only three credits short of graduating, to pursue an acting career. She went on to Manhattan to pursue auditions and supported herself with a variety of odd jobs (bartender, cocktail waitress, coat checker).

Bullock later completed her coursework and was awarded a bachelor's degree from East Carolina University.^[6] She is fluent in German. However, she prefers to speak English when appearing on German TV shows, although the TV hosts speak German.

Após o sucesso de filmes como "Johnny e June" (2005) e "Garota, Interrompida" (1999), o cineasta James Mangold aceitou dirigir o suspense "The Archive" ("O Arquivo", em tradução literal).

Ainda não há data prevista de lançamento do filme.

 Well, what do I love about the movie?  The characters played by Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman are really interesting. The movie itself taught about life, family, love and being true to yourself.

Lucy Ellenore Moderatz was played by Sandra. She works as a fare collector on the Chicago elevated railway.  Everyday, she saw this man, Peter Callaghan (played by Peter Gallagher), pass by her window for token to the train. She has a secret crush on him. One Christmas Day, she saw her being mugged and pushed onto the rail tracks. She rescued him and brought to the hospital, where he'd been in coma. A nurse overheard her saying, "I was going to marry him". The nurse thought that she was Peter's fiancee. 

The family learned about what happened to Peter and so they rushed to the hospital where he's confined. Lucy was then introduced to Peter's family as his fiacee. She was captivated by the Callaghan family. She was invited to have a dinner with the family for them to get to know their son's wife-to-be. Sandra didn't meet the younger brother of Peter during dinner. He's a hard working guy and arrives home late. Lucy got the chance to meet Jack(played by Bill Pullman) the next day. He was so suspicious about Lucy being the fiancee of his brother. He knows that Lucy is not the type of girl Peter will settle down with. She's his type... 

Better watch the movie and feel inlove.. =)

They kissed under the misletoe! It was a tradition that when a man and a woman are under a mistletoe at the same time, they should kiss each other. For good luck in love, I guess..

The snowball showing the City of Florence, Italy. Lucy wanted to have a Europe stamp on her passport. She wanted to visit Florence. On the night before Lucy's wedding to Peter, Jack went to see her and give his wedding present. It was the snowball. Then, Lucy asked him to give her one reason why she shouldn't marry his brother. Jack just said none. Then he left angrily. Oh, this part of the movie is really a heart-breaking one.

This is part where Lucy is about to marry Peter. Lucy objects to her own marriage and so, Jack. I always cry when I watch this part. This is where Lucy tells the whole family, who she is and how she learned about Peter.

In the last part of the story, you will see Lucy in her booth again spending her last day as a fare collector. Then suddenly, Jack threw an engagement ring to the booth's window. The whole Callaghan family was there and witnessed Lucy said yes to Jack's marriage proposal.

And so they got married and live happily ever after.. this is really a wonderful story!  I remember Lucy said, sometime life turned out not the way you have planned it..yet it is for the better, something like a fortunate accident..hmmmn is it SERENDIPITY!?!

A.   I'd like to think Debra Winger or Sandra Bullock be interested.

Q.   Are ALL the artists' in the book real?

A.   No. The obvious names; Dali, Picasso, Miro' are real. Fleming is a composite. In the story of Artist's Proof, the portrayal of his life is a compilation of the real life experiences of many of the most famous artists.

Q­­­­.­­­­   Have you been to all the places depicted in the book?

A.   Yes. Capri, Rome and Naples in Italy. Mexico. New York City, and the midwestern states of America.

Resulta sencillo comprender lo que reflejan los primeros minutos de la película: Linda Hanson tiene una hermosa familia. Vive con su marido Jim y con sus dos pequeñas hijas en la casa que la joven pareja eligió años atrás para formar su hogar. Una mañana, como cualquier otra, Linda despierta sola en su cama porque Jim tuvo que hacer un viaje de negocios y no pasó la noche en casa. Lleva a las chicas al colegio, regresa para realizar los quehaceres domésticos y suena el timbre. La típica imagen del alguacil que viene a dar una mala noticia está en la puerta: "¿Señora Hanson? ¿Linda Hanson?, lamento informarle que... su esposo... ha tenido un terrible accidente...". Jim murió esa noche en la carretera cuando un camión embistió a su automóvil.
A partir de ese instante, la comprensión de los hechos ya no puede ser lineal en el tiempo: Linda despierta otra vez, una mañana como cualquier otra, y para su sorpresa, Jim estaba en casa. Sin saber aún si la muerte de su esposo fue o no una simple pesadilla, las escenas comenzarán a confundirse entre el sueño y la realidad, entre el pasado y el presente, entre la razón y la locura.
Sandra Bullok (Linda Hanson), quién se hizo famosa por su personaje en "Máxima velocidad", es la chica que encaja en todos los papeles y que no necesita cambiar su fisonomía para ser graciosa, conflictiva, tímida, exitosa o fracasada. Sandra es una actriz madura que quiere girar su carrera hacia papeles cada vez más complejos y dramáticos. La acompaña muy bien el australiano Julian Mcmahon (Jim Hanson), quien posee una corta carrera cinematográfica y es más conocido por series televisivas como "Nip/Tuck".
El film cumple con los requisitos de toda película de suspenso: una historia que invita a adivinar que es lo que va a suceder, música intensa en las escenas adecuadas y momentos de tensión que permiten, al menos, mantener una constante expectativa. Desde el título, que por cierto no es muy original, la receta que el director alemán Mennan Yapo usó para preparar su opera prima, resulta tentadora. "Premonición" no va a quedar en los anales del cine ni va a marcar un estilo en su género, sólo da lo que promete durante 96 minutos: otra película de suspenso.

El primero es de Audrey Tautou, famosa por ser la protagonista de Amelie. Sólo utilicé una foto y ya veis que quedó resultón y elegante, al menos me lo parece.

El siguiente que os enseño es de una actriz llamada Christina Applegate, aparece en La cosa más dulce y se hizo famosa gracias a una genial serie Estadounidense llamada Matrimonio con hijos. Sencillito también.

Claire Danes, actriz también, sale guapísima en Stardust, uno de sus últimos trabajos. Es algo diferente de los dos anteriores y muy elegante.

Ahora vamos con un actor, Colin Farrell, estupendo y muy guapo, con fama de tipo duro. EL wallpaper lleva tres fotos y unas cuantas capas de efecto de color, a veces el trabajo no está relacionado con cuánto te gusta el resultado.

Uno de los actores con la carilla más adorable que existen, Elijah Wood, el famoso Frodo de la saga de ESDLA, de la que me declaro aficcionada, pero estas fotos están relacionadas con uno de sus mejores trabajos, Everything is illuminated.

Volvamos a las actrices, esta vez le toca a Eva Green, que apareció de hada en La brújula dorada, guapísima e inteligente, además es uno de los mejores walls que he hecho nunca y eso que no me costó mucho, las fotos eran fantásticas con ese toque oriental y Galliano... así que lo monté y listo.

Hayden Pannetiere, no la conocía, pero al parecer es una de las actrices de Heroes, la serie, simplemente vi sus fotos y me gustaron, escogí estas tipo Pin-up y listo.

Una de mis actrices favoritas, Julianne Moore, fantástica y brillante en todos sus trabajos, yo me quedo con El gran Lebowski y Las horas. Además es guapísima, eso si, reivindico que en las fotos dejen de ponerle moreno de bote en la piel, ella está guapísima con su tez blanca y su pelo rojizo, como vemos en este wall.

Kate Hudson no es que me guste demasiado como actriz, aunque tampoco ha tenido la oportunidad de desenvolverse en mejores papeles, quizá me gustase en Casi famosos, le iba muy bien ese papel, era muy natura. En estas fotos está muy elegante.

De una Kate, vamos a otra, ahora con Kate Winslet, que me gusta más que la anterior, tiene una belleza muy natural y versátil además.

No voy a mentir, me encanta la estética Pin-up y cuando vi a Rose McGowan, actriz de belleza extraña, que apareció en Planet Terror y Death Proof hace relatívamente poco, tuve que hacer este wall.

Actriz y guapa es también Salma Hayek, mis debilidades reunidas en estas fotos, tul, flores y color rosa... es inevitable.

Más natural es la actriz de comedias Sandra Bullock, es guapa de forma natural y nos entretiene un rato.

Y por último mostrar el wall de Scarlett Johanson, en unas fotos menos exhuberantes de lo que a muchos y muchas les gustaría, pero me parecieron bonitas para combinar en un wall.

Followed by Dazed and Confused from 2003 by Richard Linklater which includes a whole bunch of cool music and familiar faces.
