I have a request to pull a Angel Card for the Day. If you are reading this it must be for you. The new card for the day is "CHANGE" The meaning of Change is transition, reverse, passing from one phase to another, reverse. This card indicates movement. Change means choice. Be open to go with it. Change is not always easy. When we get this card it's a opportunity to grow. You may already realize it is a time for change. Don't be afraid of the unknown. Know that you are nudged in the right direction, so you can experience the ultimate good. In crisis lies the potential for change. When opportunities come trust yourself, try to overcome the forces of resistance. It is very hard to brake old patterns. It is time to let go and reverse the status. Move with the divine plan as it comes before you.

You know how it goes in this fast-paced social world? You gotta work, you gotta see this person, call that one, and email your boss, not to mention get the groceries and stop at the bank, oh, and the gas station. There is never enough time nor enough you to go around. Everyone wants something from you and you don't have enough time for them all, much less time for yourself. It's something plenty of people have talked about, wrote about, and discussed. I'm just adding my two cents' worth. Because frankly, I believe in taking time out for yourself very strongly, even when it means not getting everything done and not tending to every single person's needs. Some people don't really need your attention or they can do without for a day. Sure, sometimes it's family or work and can't be helped, but generally there are things people can cut out of their schedule- if just for a day- that aren't all that important. Taking time for yourself is extremely important if you haven't noticed. If you haven't taken some time just for you, you might not even realize how much you've lost in being you. Never taking time to just be alone with you can really take a toll on who you are because you're always taking care of everyone else, not you. You have to stay in touch with yourself, your personality and your hopes and desires in order to stay being you, which is important. You don't want to become a machine that just does everything on time and in order for everyone else. Where's you? You have got to take the necessary time to reflect on yourself and what you want and who you are as a person. That is what other people first fell in love with in you- you! Remember you gotta remember you and be you. Don't let the stress and worries and I-gotta-get-this-done-first attitude get you down and forgetting to be the individual you that you are. OK, don't loose me here just because there are a ton of you's in this article. This article is about you! Come on, don't feel guilty to take time off of your work, duties, errands, and chores to just go and relax and do nothing alone. It'll do you a world of good, trust me. I know this first-hand and believe it big time. So, tonight stop working on that project and this email and their worries- sit back and rediscover you. Clear your mind and get lost in yourself for a bit. It's not selfish, it's important.

Let a song fill you with emotion- true and real- and feel the hurt, joy, pain, or smile as sure as the music that plays you through it.

I really learned a lot from Sam Crowley. I learned that I am in control. I am a CHAMPION. I remind myself that everyday. I tell myself every morning when I look in the mirror that I am the only person responsible for my happiness today. One of my pringles for myself is to smile all day. Seems like that could be a big pringle. It really isn't when you are truly happy. So for me it is an easy pringle .

You need to lay out some ground rules for yourself:

Think your a CHAMPION .
Get FIRED up!
You must smile. How can you feel bad when you are smiling.
Open your mind. Like an umbrella it only works when it is open.
Open your heart. Listen to what your heart is telling you.
Get uncomfortable. We are in the situations that we get into because we find to much comfort in them. This is when we step out of the box.
Emotion: Feel the excitement. Get emotional about where you are in life and where you are going.

Those were just a few of the tools that Sam Crowley had shared with us that stuck out the most. I read these ideas over and over to myself. I remind myself that is very important for me to share my emotions and my excitement. It draws more of that same energy to me.

When sharing the truth with people you must remember one important thing. You have to be able to receive the truth as well. Telling and receiving are 2 different things. It is easy to tell someone something about themselves . not so easy to hear something about yourself. Be more accepting of your own truths and it will be easier to step out of your comfort zone.

BE A CHAMPION !

This song is from their newest album, 'Smile' and it is a lot more psychedelic than their previous work; lots of interesting noises/production mixed in with the melodies here and it doesn't really get heavy until the end.

I want to honor a great friend of mine by sharing a few word about her. First and foremost Nadeesha is one of the most wonderful people I've been lucky enough to meet. We were colleagues for the (sadly) brief time I worked in Sri Lanka. Her kindness, patience, smile and simply just her charming presence were enough to lighten up even the dullest day at work for us colleagues. I cannot but look up for her for her positive attitude and ability to keep a smile on her face no matter how tired or frustrated she is (See the pic! And this is after a long morning of cricket).

Nadeesha also serves as a good example of an increasing generation of strong and independent women in her country. She holds a master's in civil engineering and has plans to pursue for a PhD. She is ambitious, and hardworking. Often Nadeesha would already be sitting at the office when I came, and still staying when I thought it was time to leave.

She always pays full attention to her tasks and performs them with integrity. It was a true pleasure to work with her. In addition to being diligent and professionally oriented, she is graceous and caring, never overlooking an opportunity to help her community. This is among the many things I have learned from her. Alongside with your own aspirations, try to pay attention to your surroundings. Seek to take care of the well-being of others in you community...One way or another.

So dear Nadeesha, thank you for your friendship and inspiration. Keep smiling and spreading that happiness to your surroundings. That's what keeps us all going.

Btw. Nadeesha is also a married woman since June 30th. My warmest congratulations!!

This is my favorite part.

Your heart.

The sun glinted off the waves. The air felt fresh and clear. If you listen closely you can still hear the call of the birds. Greeting the sun in the morning. The flowers smell so beautiful and the grass tickles your toes. It's a beautiful kind of place.

I wake up exhausted. Every morning. As I stand and look out the windows. It is raining, grey buildings and honking horns greet shouts of tired people. In this city we don't sleep. Each morning it's always the same, no beautiful songs or caresses.

Each shoe slips on tight. The tie feels like a weight on your chest.

Coffee. It's a poor substitute for purpose.

Meetings and phone calls. Not exactly friendship.

The sound of the microwave pinging. Birds sound sweeter.

5 oclock a fake kind of freedom.

And as you head home and stop at a corner. The sound of music and laughter makes you turn, and lit up signs give the suggestion of a sun. Drawn by the warmths of smiles.

Until morning, then sleep with empty pockets. Waiting for another day of mistakes and illusions.

Squinting against the light and holding your head to keep it from spinning. Someone pulls in front of you. Brake lights. Screeching. Much larger holes in your pockets. Upset you get out of the car and go to give them a piece of your mind.

She stops you. In a world where nothing is real. She is a dream.

Don't worry about it. Your broke. Your late. Nothing matters so much as talking with her while you wait for the tow. The bar lights are far dimmer than her smile. And you wake up. To your sun.

The air feels fresh and clear. If you listen you can still hear the call of the birds as they greet the sun in the morning.
