This man in Wisconsin has tapped into the righteous indignation that the American voters have towards the Democrat Presidential candidate, Barack Obama, and the Democratic Party policies! John McCain ducks the obvious, this man wants him to talk about the people Barack Obama is aligned with. THE SOCIALISTS TAKING OVER OUR COUNTRY!

Even Fox promotes the "Angry Right" line in order to demean the honest emotions that people have when they are being taken advantage of. The mans comments about the country being taken over by socialists is cut from this report!

At least they cover the alignments that Obama has with william Bill, Ayers, Rev. Wright, and ACORN.

It's a F-A-C-T.

RBO's readers and commenters are frustrated beyond words -- "why isn't MSM reporting this?" -- "are they [MSM] all Socialists, too?"

The information has been available since at least fall 1995 -- and as recently as May/June 2004, when Obama was running for the U.S. Senate.

In RBO's Dump Bush! Elect Obama! -- in 2004, posted October 8, 2008, we showed that, as recently as June 19, 2004, U.S. Senate Democratic candidate for Illinois, Barack Obama, and former Democratic presidential candidate, Howard Dean, were anticipated to appear at a Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) health care rally to be held in Chicago’s Lincoln Park.

"New Party" candidate

In the September/October 1995 issue (#42) of DSA's publication, New Ground, we find (emphasis added):

About 50 activists attended the Chicago New Party membership meeting in July. The purpose of the meeting was to update members on local activities and to hear appeals for NP support from four potential political candidates. The NP is being very active in organization building and politics. There are 300 members in Chicago. In order to build an organizational and financial base the NP is sponsoring house parties. Locally it has been successful both fiscally and in building a grassroots base. Nationwide it has resulted in 1000 people committed to monthly contributions. The NP's political strategy is to support progressive candidates in elections only if they have a concrete chance to "win". This has resulted in a winning ratio of 77 of 110 elections. Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP.

The political entourage included Alderman Michael Chandler, William Delgado, chief of staff for State Rep Miguel del Valle, and spokespersons for State Sen. Alice Palmer, Sonya Sanchez, chief of staff for State Sen. Jesse Garcia, who is running for State Rep in Garcia's District; and Barack Obama, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer's vacant seat.

Obama was present at this New Party membership meeting seeking its support. How do we know? DSA's Bruce Bentley said so in New Ground:

Four political candidates were "there" seeking NP support.

Who were the "four"? Michael Chandler, William Delgado, Sonya Sanchez, and Barack Obama.

Just in case you might have missed it, Obama was identified in DSA's New Ground as "chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer." So this is how it is done in Obamaland. Make the kill shot from within. Who better to know all of Palmer's business than her chief of staff?

The July/August 1996 issue (#47) of New Ground confirms, again, that Obama was a member of the Socialist "New Party".

Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration.

Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary).

A November 1996 editorial in the Progressive Populist stated the facts as clearly as could possiblly be expected (emphasis added):

New Party members and supported candidates won 16 of 23 races, including an at-large race for the Little Rock, Ark., City Council, a seat on the county board for Little Rock and the school board for Prince George's County, Md. Chicago is sending the first New Party member to Congress, as Danny Davis, who ran as a Democrat, won an overwhelming 85% victory. New Party member Barack Obama was uncontested for a State Senate seat from Chicago.

There has been a big buzz on the blogosphere since October 8, 2008, when US mega-blog Power Line picked up on evidence proving that Barack Obama was, in the mid '90s, a member of a short-lived socialist organisation, the Chicago New Party.

Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), which also endorsed Obama that year and to which the Senator has longstanding and ongoing ties, has also been dragged into the fray.

The Obama camp has countered in two ways.

Firstly-claiming that while Obama was endorsed by the New Party he was never a member.

That lie is easily disposed of.

Secondly -- supporters claim that the New Party was not actually socialist.

Long time Obama associate and former Chicago New Party activist Carl Davidson (left) has posted this statement on several blogs.

The New Party in Chicago was never a socialist party. DSA in Chicago had little to do with it in any practical way. It was a pragmatic party of ’small d democracy’ mainly promoting economic reforms like the living wage and testing the fusion tactic, common in many countries but only operational in New York in the US. The main trend within it was ACORN, an Alinskyist outfit, which is hardly Marxist. Most socialist left groups either ignored it or opposed it, even if a few of their members took part in it. That’s the truth of the matter.

This is so far from the truth.

The New Party was the creation of DSA and the radical community organisation ACORN -- which was in itself something of a DSA front. In some areas the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) was involved, but in Chicago the CPUSA splinter group Committees of Correspondence (CoC)was more prominent. Carl Davidson is well aware that Marxists set up the Chicago New Party because he was one of them.

From Chicago DSA's New Ground of March/April 1995:

On January 27th approximately 45 people attended the Chicago DSA and Chicago CoC organized public form at the ACTWU hall on Ashland Ave... Chicago DSA was represented by Co-Chair, Kurt Anderson and Political Education Officer, Bob Roman. CoC was represented by Carl Davidson, who is a member of CoC's National Coordinating Committee and Ronelle Mustin, an activist from the 22nd ward. The event was chaired by Sandi Patrinos, chair of Chicago CoC...

Carl Davidson wanted to focus on "voting patterns." ...To win elections, Davidson emphasized that there are two necessary coinciding factors. First, a passive majority... Secondly, a militant minority...

Davidson emphasized that in this historical period the Left's strategy must be electoral politics not revolution. Consequently the Left must galvanize the "majority" - the working class and poor... Moreover the democratic left needs get active in the New Party which has won 20 of 30 local elections. Thus a short-term strategy of working with the Democratic Party and in the long-term work with the New Party.

If that's not clear enough I quote from Chicago DSA's New Ground of September/October 1995:

Obama's 1996 New Party running mate, Danny K. Davis (right) was elected to the US Congress as a Democrat -- the highest office won by a New Party candidate.

Not only an NPer and a Democrat, Davis was and is a DSA member. The politically promiscuous Congressman was also linked to both CoC and CPUSA.

According to Chicago DSA’s New Ground of September 1994:

Over 500 delegates and observers (including 140 from Chicago) attended the founding convention of the Committees of Correspondence (CoC) held here in Chicago in July.

Speakers…included Charles Nqukula, General Secretary of the South African Communist Party; Dulce Maria Pereira, a senatorial candidate of the Workers Party of Brazil; Angela Davis of CoC; and Andre Brie of the Party of Democratic Socialism of Germany (a revamp of the old East German Communist Party) Other guests during the Convention included Cook County Commissioner Danny Davis, Alderman Helen Schiller and Rick Munoz, a representative of the Green Left Weekly of Australia, and a representative of the Cuban Interest Section.

The Chicago Communist Party has for many years held an annual fund raising banquet for its paper, the Peoples Weekly World (formerly the Peoples "Daily" World).

According to the PDW of July 28th 1990, Chicago alderman Danny K. Davis attended that year's banquet on July 15th.

Davis applauded those at the banquet, who, he said, are always in the midst of struggle. PDW readers, he said, are "steadfast in the fight fòr justice."

According to the Peoples Weekly World of October 3rd 1998, congressman Danny K. Davis interrupted his campaign work for Senate candidate Carol Mosely Braun to present an award at the Chicago annual Peoples Weekly World banquet.

Obama incidentally helped get the CPUSA/CoC/DSA-connected Moseley Braun elected in 1992 and inherited her former Senate seat in 2004.

Danny K. Davis remains one of Obama's most loyal supporters.

Carl Davidson is right in that the Chicago New Party was not OPENLY socialist. It was designed as a vehicle for socialists to infiltrate leftist candidates into positions of power through the Democratic Party.

So Chicago New Party was socialist dominated, but what about nationally?

I have in my possession an undated New Party document from 1995 or 1996 entitled "Who's Building the New Party?"

It lists approximately one hundred

...community leaders, organizers, unionists, retirees, scholars, artists, parents, students, doctors, writers and other activists who are building the NP.

Those listed include:

• Elaine Bernard -- A Labour academic and prominent DSA member.
• Noam Chomsky -- Linguist and activist, member of both DSA and CoC.
• Steve Cobble -- Political consultant, now a leader of the DSA linked Progressive Democrats of America.
• Barbara Ehrenreich -- Author, activist and DSA leader.
• Bill Fletcher Jr. -- Former Maoist, a labour activist and leading DSA member.
• Maude Hurd -- Longtime ACORN president. Awarded for her work by Boston DSA.
• Manning Marable -- A founder of both DSA and CoC. Regarded as a driving force within the New Party.
• Frances Fox Piven -- A DSA member; regarded as the brains behind ACORN.
• Raphael Pizzaro -- New York labour activist and former CPUSA member. An official of both CoC and DSA.
• Gloria Steinem -- Author and DSA member.
• Cornel West -- Academic and prominent DSA member.
• Quentin Young -- Chicago doctor, prominent DSA member, formerly allegedly involved with CPUSA.
• Howard Zinn -- Historian. Describes himself as an anarchist/democratic socialist.

Is there a pattern here?

While the New Party helped launch Obama's political career, the connections did not end there.

Quentin Young is a longtime friend, near neighbour and political supporter of Obama. He attended the famous 1995 meeting in the Chicago home of former terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn where Illinois State Senator Alice Palmer introduced Barack Obama as her chosen successor.

Cornel West is now one of the two members of Obama’s “Black Advisory Council”.

In August 2006 several former Weather Underground terrorists, including Ayers and Dohrn, joined leaders of DSA, CPUSA and CoC to form a new organisation -- Movement for a Democratic Society (MDS).

Several former New Party leaders joined the MDS board including Noam Chomsky, Carl Davidson, Barbara Ehrenreich, Bill Fletcher Jr. and since January 2007, chairman Manning Marable.

Unsuccessful board nominees included former NP leaders Cornel West and Howard Zinn.

Early this year MDS board members Davidson, Ehrenreich and Fletcher joined with former Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) leader Tom Hayden and DSA linked actor/activist Danny Glover to form a satellite organisation, Progressives for Obama (P4O)

According to Aaron Klein, writing September 26, 2008, inWorldNetDaily:

In its creed, first published in March in the Nation magazine, the Progressives for Obama founders state their organization descended from the "proud tradition of independent social movements that have made America a more just and democratic country."

Is this a reference to the New Party?

Progressives for Obama stated it can help the Illinois senator's ascent to highest office by contributing funds, using the Internet to reach "millions of swing voters;" defending Obama against negative attacks and making its agenda known at the Democratic National Convention.

"Progressives can make a difference in close primary races like Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Oregon and Puerto Rico, and in the November general election," the founders state.

The P4O website carries a long list of endorsers, many of whom are from DSA, CoC, SDS or the Weathermen.

They include former New Party leaders Steve Cobble, Frances Fox Piven and Cornel West.

Is this all just coincidence?

Or are the same socialists who supported Obama in his 1996 State Senate race now trying to put their man into the White House?

Suppose you can see the future? Yet, no one will believe you when you tell them what you see? What do you do?

Play the market.

Which has just had the worst run in its history. A quarter of its value gone glimmering in less than a week? How does that happen? Because the unspoken contract is broken. That contract was: I’ll believe if you will.

Does this market collapse adumbrate an Obama Presidency? Many a Cassandra thinks it does and they’ve gotten out. “Take the money and run” is sometimes a very clever plan if you see an Obama presidency doing to the United States what a Dinkins mayoralty did to New York City: it a lesser place made.

The only certain promise of socialism is poverty. These days that means basic cable. Nonetheless, it seems a little cold of those who see it coming to do so little about it. But they have been there, tried that. Unheeded, they go about their business. They gather their get-out money, put their arms around those closest to them, and wait in California for the dust bowl to blow over. Or in the mountains of Italy for the plague to pass.

Item One:  Dee made a brilliant point in her recent comment:  Even if Obama is publicly denouncing all of his "former" pals, (like Ayers, Farrakhan, Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, etc...) WHY DO THEY ALL LIKE OBAMA SO MUCH?  Do you realize that the president of Iran, Ahmadinejad, is actively rooting for an Obama presidency?  Does that not scare the pants off anyone else?  How do you honestly think Putin feels about this election?  Just a hunch, but I would argue that the thought of a McCain presidency (who would "rather win a war than a campaign") makes Putin tremble.  Obama, after all, would just meet with these leaders without preconditions.     

And, regarding Obama's blazingly apparent socialist political agenda, it's interesting to note that the US Communist Party has officially endorsed him.  That's right.  The Commies are actively rooting for an Obama presidency as well:

Item two:  ACORN, or Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.  Voter registration fraud.  It is being investigated all over the place.  In Nevada, the starting line-up of the Dallas Cowboys was registered to vote, including Tony Romo and Terrell Owens  (http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/07/acorn-vegas-office-raided-voter-fraud-investigation/):   

"But it's not the first time ACORN's been under investigation for registration irregularities. The raid is the latest of at least nine investigations into possible fraudulent voter registration forms submitted by ACORN -- the probes have involved ACORN workers in Wisconsin, New Mexico, Indiana and other states.

In response to the Las Vegas raid, Republican Nevada Sen. John Ensign and seven other senators penned a letter to the Federal Housing Finance Agency calling for the suspension of taxpayer dollars to 'controversial groups like ACORN.' The letter referred to contributions that potentially could come from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac under the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008.   

In 2006, ACORN also committed what Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed called the 'worse case of election fraud' in the state's history. 

In the case, ACORN submitted just over 1,800 new voter registration forms, and all but six of the 1,800 names were fake."

Indeed.  But, as we have learned, (especially if you've been taking careful note of Barack Obama's "interesting" choice of mentors and friends), this is not at all surprising.  Research the "New Party," a now-defunct socialist political party in the US, and you'll discover that Obama was once a member.

Consequently, Ms. Palmer served on the executive board of the US Peace Council during the 1980s.  What does the US Peace Council stand for?

The Peace Council has initiated and participated in the many struggles for freedom and self-determination:

The Peace Council initiated the campaign to free Nelson Mandela from Robbins Island and end the barbaric Apartheid system in South Africa. The Peace Council was instrumental in organizing the Free South Africa coalition, which united labor, peace, religious and community groups.

• During Apartheid, we demanded that the U.S. and South Africa end aid to counterrevolutionaries who tried to overthrow legitimate governments in Angola and Mozambique.
• We have organized opposition to U.S. interventions in El Salvador, Nicaragua and Colombia; and invasions of Grenada and Panama.
• We stand for a just, two-state solution in the Israel-Palestine conflict.
• We have opposed both Gulf Wars and the war on Afghanistan. Universal Disarmament

The Peace Council opposes the doctrine of preemptive strikes by the United States, as these policies express the US drive for imperialist domination of nations and resources. This doctrine vitally threatens world peace, foreshadows the end of international laws and undermines the Charter of the United Nations.

We call on the U.S. government to end research on and development of space-based weapons of mass destruction intended to dominate the peoples of the earth.

We call for the closure of all U.S. foreign military bases located in over 40 countries, a drastic reduction in the military budget and transferring those funds to civilian production providing jobs and fulfilling social needs.

For those of you who don't know, the US Peace Council is a subsidiary of the World Peace Council, which was a Soviet-backed institution.  In fact, the WPC admitted in 1989 that something like 90% of their funding came from the Soviet Union.  Time Magazine, in 1951, exposed the World Peace Council to be the communist tool that it was.  In fact, the US Peace Council makes no bones that it associates itself with the communist-backed World Peace Council, as this document shows:

The terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in New York and on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 was used as a pretext for an overall offensive to be launched on the peoples and countries of the world in all sectors. The announcement of the so-called counter-terrorist campaign by the USA, with the support of its allies, serves many purposes and has been used in order to unleash two new wars, against Afghanistan and Iraq and to target many countries that resist US domination or do not align themselves with it.The WPC condemns terrorist acts, including the ones, which are acts of state terrorism. Those to blame for these acts should be brought to justice. The hypocritical and militaristic approach of the USA and the EU on this issue cannot eliminate the causes of such phenomena. Causes like the poverty and underdevelopment of the majority of the world’s population, the exploitation and plunder of the natural resources of the third world by multinational corporations, the accumulated injustice and oppression of peoples for decades, are factors which are being used, often by criminal elements which the USA itself has recruited, trained and financed, for actions which do not have the slightest relation to the fight of the peoples for their freedom andnational sovereignty, which we firmly defend.

 

This is an old socialist tactic: using "peace" as a front to forward Marxist ideals.  If you watch communist propaganda from the 1920s on (especially in America), you'll see the peace movement is supported by a strong Marxist infrastructure.

In fact, the Investor's Business Daily has an indepth expose of Alice Palmer's ties to Marxist organizations, all the way up until she chose Obama as her successor:

Ten years earlier she was an executive board member of the U.S. Peace Council, which the FBI identified as a communist front group, an affiliate of the World Peace Council, a Soviet front group.

Palmer participated in the World Peace Council's 1983 Prague Assembly, part of the Soviet launch of the nuclear-freeze movement. The only thing it would have frozen was the Soviet Union's military superiority.

In June 1986, while editor of the Black Press Review, she wrote an article for the Communist Party USA's newspaper, the People's Daily World, now the People's Weekly World. It detailed her experience attending the 27th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and how impressed she was by the Soviet system.

Palmer gushed at the "Soviet plan to provide people with higher wages and better education" and spoke of the efficiency of the Soviets' most recent five-year plan, attributing its success to "central planning." She praised their "comprehensive affirmative action program, which they have stuck to religiously — if I can use the word — since 1917."

Palmer also marveled that all Russian citizens were guaranteed a job matching their training and skills, free education, affordable housing and free medical care. Because Soviet school curricula were established at the national level, she said, "there is no second-class 'track' system in the minority-nationality schools as there is in the inferior inner city schools in my hometown, Chicago, and elsewhere in the United States."

Obama andPalmer both oppose school choice and vouchers and successful programs like the D.C. Opportunity Scholarships. They prefer the central planning of education as dictated by the teachers unions and the commissars at the National Education Association.

Nice.

Mind you...she "hand-picked" Obama.

But it gets worse.  Recent revelations show that Obama was also associated with the Chicago Democrat Socialists of America (DSA, which Palmer was affiliatedwith), which defined themselves as the "New Party" organization.  From the Chicago DSA Website:

All four candidates attended the NP membership meeting on April 11th to express their gratitude. Danny Davis, winner in the 7th Congressional District, invited NPers to join his Campaign Steering Committee. Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in 7th Subcircuit Court, explained that due to the NP she was able to network and get experienced advice from progressives like Davis. Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration. The lone loser was Willie Delgado, in the 3rd Illinois House District. Although Delgado received 45% of the vote, he lost by only 800 votes. Delgado commented that it was due to the NP volunteers that he carried the 32nd Ward. Delgado emphasized that he will remain a visible community activist in Humbolt Park. He will conduct four Immigration workshops and encouraged NP activists to get involved.

About 50 activists attended the Chicago New Party membership meeting in July. The purpose of the meeting was to update members on local activities and to hear appeals for NP support from four potential political candidates. The NP is being very active in organization building and politics. There are 300 members in Chicago. In order to build an organizational andfinancial base the NP is sponsoring house parties. Locally it has been successful both fiscally and in building a grassroots base. Nationwide it has resulted in 1000 people committed to monthly contributions. The NP'spolitical strategy is to support progressive candidates in elections only if they have a concrete chance to "win". This has resulted in a winning ratio of 77 of 110 elections. Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible andactive relationship with the NP.

The political entourage included Alderman Michael Chandler, William Delgado, chief of staff for State Rep Miguel del Valle, and spokespersons for State Sen. Alice Palmer, Sonya Sanchez, chief of staff for State Sen. Jesse Garcia, who is running for State Rep in Garcia's District; and Barack Obama, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer's vacant seat.

According to the Chicago DSA website, the mission of the organization is thus:

I'd also like to point out that I too did a little bit of research at the Chicago DSA website, and found out that Obamawas rather friendly with the organization.  Consider this Town Meeting held in 1996 where Obama was an attendee:

Over three hundred people attended the first of two Town Meetings on Economic Insecurity on February 25 in Ida Noyes Hall at the University of Chicago. Entitled "Employment and Survival in Urban America", the meeting was sponsored by the UofC DSA Youth Section, Chicago DSA and University Democrats. The panelists were Toni Preckwinkle, Alderman of Chicago's 4th Ward; Barack Obama, candidate for the 13th Illinois Senate District; Professor William Julius Wilson, Center for the Study of Urban Inequality at the University of Chicago; Professor Michael Dawson, University of Chicago; and Professor Joseph Schwartz, Temple University and a member of DSA's National Political Committee.

Or how about their recommendations during Obama's run for the Illinois State Senate:

For Congressman of the 1st Congressional District, the Executive Committee was faced withtwo very good candidates. As we are not making endorsements but merely recommendations, we felt no conflict in recommending both Bobby Rush and Barak Obama.

Barak Obamais serving only his secondterm in the Illinois State Senate so he might be fairly charged with ambition, but the same might have be said of Bobby Rush when he ran against Congressman Charles Hayes. Obama also has put in time at the grass roots, working for five years as a community organizer in Harlem and in Chicago. When Obama participated in a 1996 UofC YDS Townhall Meeting on Economic Insecurity, much of what he had to say was well within the mainstream of European social democracy.

The 2005 Debs - Thomas - Harrington Dinner was held on Friday, May 6 at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza. For those obsessed with odometers, this was the 47th annual dinner held since the first in 1958. Named for three of the great leaders of American democratic socialism (Eugene V. Debs, Norman Thomas, and Michael Harrington), the 2005 Dinner was a demonstration that their faith, passion, commitment, and pragmatism are still very much alive. The theme of this year's Dinner was "A Perfect Storm Rising: The Crisis in Health Care, Defending Social Security".

The Dinner also heard from DSA's National Director, Frank Llewellyn. He spoke on the need for holding Democratic politicians accountable for their votes, using the recent Republican bankruptcy reform as an illustration. It was a particularly apt choice as Illinois' junior Senator, Barack Obama, was one of the defecting Democrats on that vote. He also spoke about DSA's campaign against the "low wage economy" and about how DSA was one of several dozen organizations (including the NAACP) singled out for political harassment by the Internal Revenue Service.

As well as Obama's speaking engagement for Saul Mendelson:

Saul Mendelson was a co-founder of the Debs Dinner in 1958. He was its treasurer for the first ten years and worked diligently to make it a success for 39 years. Saul received the Thomas - Debs Award in 1988.

At the memorial service held at the 1st Unitarian Church on South Woodlawn, speaker after speaker recounted Saul's contributions. The service was ably MC'd by a retired colleague, Bob Clark. I spoke first andwas followed by Saul's friend Deborah Meier, a MacArthur Genius Grant recipient who is now starting a new school in Boston. Amy Isaacs, National Director of the ADA, spoke of what Saul had meant on foreign affairs to the ADA. Other speakers included Senator Carol Moseley Braun, Alderman Toni Preckwinkle, State Senator Barak Obama, Illinois House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie anda good friendfrom New York, Myra Russell. The concluding remarks were made by an old friend, Harriet Lefley, who is now Professor of Psychology at the University of Miami Medical School.

Who was Saul Mendelson?

You joined the Socialist movement at the age of 18. You chaired the Socialist Club at the University of Chicago. You taught and inspired students at DuSable High School. You fought in the civil rights struggles with the NAACP, with CORE, and with the Negro American Labor Council. You have held fast to your belief in democratic socialism.

You fought for collective bargaining for public employees and were the vice-president of the Chicago Teachers Union High School Division when the first collective bargaining contract was achieved. You became a professor at Loop College (now Harold Washington College) and were its union chair from 1969 to 1986 in the Cook County College Local. Five of the times your union was forced on strike, you were your chapter's strike committee chair.

It should also be noted that it was in the home of Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn - two admitted and unrepentant 1960s terrorists - that Alice Palmer announced that Barack Obama would be running for her vacant seat.

Which part is the man right about John McCain? That all Democrats are socialists or that Pelosi and Obama are "hooligans?"

And this guy is the least of the Palin and McCain supporters lately in terms of overall hatred for Obama and the Democrats.

Undoubtedly McCain was put in a tough spot by the question, he didn't want to make the comment bigger than it was, one angry old man in the audience, but the least he could of said was something to the tone of "Respectfully, I agree that they shouldn't be running the country..."

Instead he says, "Right," like, "that's exactly what I wanted you to say."

Mind you Palin and McCain rallies have only gotten this pitched since Palin and McCain have pulled Ayers out of the closet and accusations of Obama buddying up with terrorists. I'm not sure why McCain and Palin are stirring this pot, if there is a reason it certainly isn't the polls, which haven't swung down from an Obama 5 point lead since mid-September.

Are they really so unimiganitive that when nasty campaign tactics don't work the only thing they can think of is dig a deeper hole?

Obama began seeking the New Party endorsement in 1995.  He had been running in a four way primary against his former boss, Senator Alice Palmer, herself a far left radical, and two other individuals.  But an election law quirk gave Obama the upper hand.  In order to get on the ballot, candidates had to collect signatures of voters.  Printed names were not allowed.  Obama challenged the petitions of his rivals and was able to get every one of them thrown off the ballot.  By the time the ballot was drawn up for the 1996 election, Obama’s was the only name in the race.

What I think constitutes a Socialist is basically someone who supports taking from folks to give to other folks who do not provide a service.  Now there is plenty of room to split hairs there but essentially someone who does not have an issue using the power of Government to remove capitol or rights from one group and to distribute that capitol and/or those rights to another group.  You dont need to agree with me in regards to this over simplification but you should be able to look at the record and see that Senator Obama fits this bill.  So do many others in congress on both side of the aisle but not to his extant.

This just being my daily rant I will not go into the way King Handcannon would save the would.  I will leave that to another day or days.

In April, Human Events covered ties between Barack Obama and the Socialist New Party, a hard-left group whose endorsement Obama received in his 1996 run for the Illinois State Senate. The American Thinker is now reporting a 1996 New Party newsletter has been found in the archives of the non-profit Internet Archive Organization naming Obama as a member of the Socialist New Party in 1996.

In the wake of a raid by Nevada officials on ACORN's Las Vegas offices last week (suspicion of more voter fraud), attention has been focused anew on just what a bunch of sleazebags these "community organizers" really are.  In the past few years, prior to the Nevada raid, ACORN voter registration efforts have attracted the attention of law enforcement in fourteen states.  A pretty complete list of their digressions can be found at http://www.rottenacorn.com/activityMap.html

Today it's being reported that several voters subpoenaed in Ohio have testified that, even though they were already registered to vote, ACORN employees encouraged them to register again and again, including one young man who registered seventy-two times in eighteen months.

While leftists consistently try to play down this kind of voter fraud as meaningless, in a close election, any level of impropriety can have critical consequences.  In the Washington case, the preliminary investigation found that of more than 1800 registrations submitted by ACORN, 1762 were determined to be bogus!  Ultimately, more than 2000 new registrations had to be tossed.  Lest we forget, Christine Gregoire became governor or Washington by a scant 133 vote margin, so ACORN's questionable behavior matters.  It matters a lot.

But voter fraud isn't all ACORN is about.  ACORN Housing Corporation (AHC), a non-profit offshoot, has spent years lobbying and harassing lenders into making high-risk home loans in accordance with the Community Reinvestment Act.  Much of the bad paper currently choking the credit markets is attributable to the efforts of ACORN in relaxing traditional standards of credit, purportedly for the purpose of helping low-income Americans attain the dream of home ownership.  Their "lobbying" efforts, which generally amounted to branding the lending institutions as racist if they didn't comply with ACORN's goals (from the Jesse Jackson playbook), also managed to garner AHC millions in charitable donations from major banking concerns like JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and many others.  

As a recognized non-profit, AHC also found another rich source of revenue: your tax dollars.  For the three year period covering fiscal years 2004-2006, AHC received more than 40% of its total funding-- more than seven million dollars-- from government grants and contracts, while providing thousands of low-income borrowers with some of the worst credit counseling imaginable, and committing what some say is obvious HUD fraud.

They're also the kind of organization that buses protestors wherever they deem necessary, like a Chicago City Council meeting or a mayor's personal residence, just for the sake of civic disruption, not unlike the child who throws itself to the floor and stages a public tantrum unless Mommy and Daddy give it what it wants, right now!  What does ACORN want?  Why, all the things any socialist kid wants!  A living wage!  More entitlements!  More regulation of the evil capitalist markets that exploit us all!  Damn Costco and WalMart!  Damn them to hell!!

The reason ACORN matters so much in this particular election cycle isn't because they might steal it for the Barackster, which they will do, if given half a chance.  No, what matters most is that ACORN is an organization with a very thinly disguised socialist agenda.  And Barack Obama is one of them.  Not just a sympathizer.  One of them.  This isn't like Bill Ayres or Jeremiah Wright, where Obama can bob and weave and pretend he didn't really have much to do with the guy.  In this case, the paper trail and hard evidence are quite compelling.  He taught leadership conferences for them.  Did legal work for them.  Helped funnel taxpayer dollars into their coffers.  Has actively sought their endorsement in every election of his brief political career.  Barack Obama has been in bed with ACORN for most of his professional life, and if most Americans, including many who plan to give him their vote in November, knew what ACORN was really all about, they would be sickened.  They would also be deceived.  By a man who now claims to be a centrist, but has gone to great lengths to conceal his true nature.  At his very core, Barack Hussein Obama is nothing but a warmed over Sixties feel-good radical, who thinks America and capitalism are bad for people and the planet.  Let's hope enough of us see him for what he really is before it's too late.

In short, Ayers had the means, the motive, the time, the place and the literary ability to jumpstart Obama's career. And, as Ayers had to know, a lovely memoir under Obama's belt made for a much better resume than an unfulfilled contract over his head.

New Party Update 

The mainstream media thought that the membership of Todd Palin, who is not a candidate for any office, in the Alaska Independence Party important enough to report in such outlets as the Los Angeles Times, MSNBC, and the New York Times, among others. So now that Barack Obama's membership in the far left New Party has been unearthed, will they report his membership in that Socialist organization?

Proof of Obama's membership in the New Party was discovered by the Politically Drunk On Power blog:

In June sources released information that during his campaign for the State Senate in Illinois, Barack Obama was endorsed by an organization known as the Chicago "New Party". The 'New Party' was a political party established by the Democratic Socialists of America (the DSA) to push forth the socialist principles of the DSA by focusing on winnable elections at a local level and spreading the Socialist movement upwards. The admittedly Socialist Organization experienced a moderate rise in numbers between 1995 and 1999. By 1999, however, the Socialist 'New Party' was essentially defunct after losing a supreme court challenge that ruled the organizations "fusion" reform platform as unconstitutional.

 

After allegations surfaced in early summer over the 'New Party's' endorsement of Obama, the Obama campaign along with the remnants of the New Party and Democratic Socialists of America claimed that Obama was never a member of either organization. The DSA and 'New Party' then systematically attempted to cover up any ties between Obama and the Socialist Organizations. However, it now appears that Barack Obama was indeed a certified and acknowledged member of the DSA's New Party. 

On Tuesday, I discovered a web page that had been scrubbed from the New Party's website. The web page which was published in October 1996, was an internet newsletter update on that years congressional races. Although the web page was deleted from the New Party's website, the non-profit Internet Archive Organization had archived the page.

 

From the October 1996 Update of the DSA 'New Party':
"New Party members are busy knocking on doors, hammering down lawn signs, and phoning voters to support NP candidates this fall. Here are some of our key races... 

Illinois: Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary)."

The question now is if the MSM will deem his party membership important enough to report on. They sure didn't hesitate to report on Todd Palin's membership in the Alaska Independence Party.

See the pattern.   I have been told many times, "if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, It is probably a duck."  If it walks like a Socialist, Talks like a Socialist (single payer HealthCare, and Looks like a Socialist (campaign is like Castros years ago...research)... Maybe it is a Socialist.  Why doesn't he just say he is what he is.  He signed a paper, a contract with the Chicago New Party to do so... is he ashamed of his friends?

New Party Organizes

On Saturday, January 14, the New Party in Chicago took another step in its effort to establish itself as a political force by holding a major outreach meeting directed at Chicago's Left. About 100 people, with sizable delegations from DSA and CoC among others, heard Bruce Colburn and Elaine Bernard preach the gospel of the New Party. The audience was also introduced to the New Party's first candidate in Chicago, Michael Chandler, who is running for Alderman in Chicago's west side 24th ward. The meeting was held at the meeting hall of SEIU Local 880, a local that is tackling the extremely difficult task of organizing home health care workers in Illinois. In Chicago, the New Party's biggest asset and biggest liability is ACORN.

Like most organizations, ACORN is a mixed bag. On one hand, in Chicago, ACORN is a group that attempts to organize some of the most depressed communities in the city. Chicago organizers for ACORN and organizers for SEIU Local 880 have been given modest monthly recruitment quotas for new New Party members. On the other hand, like most groups that depend on canvassing for fundraising, it's easy enough to find burned out and disgruntled former employees. And ACORN has not had the reputation for being interested in coalition politics- until recently and, happily, not just within the New Party. In Chicago, ACORN has been working with the National Training and Information Center on housing issues, and Equip for Equality in challenging Illinois' inaction on "Motor Voter" registration. ACORN has also become a major participant in Chicago Jobs with Justice.

But the nature of Chicago ACORN is secondary to the inevitable dynamics of the situation. As the single 800 pound gorilla in the Chicago New Party, it doesn't leave a lot of room for newcomers to participate except on ACORN's terms. This will make it difficult for the New Party to have a life apart from ACORN. The element that seems to be present in Milwaukee but absent in Chicago is organized labor.

Chicago New Party Update

About 50 activists attended the Chicago New Party membership meeting in July. The purpose of the meeting was to update members on local activities and to hear appeals for NP support from four potential political candidates. The NP is being very active in organization building and politics. There are 300 members in Chicago. In order to build an organizational and financial base the NP is sponsoring house parties. Locally it has been successful both fiscally and in building a grassroots base. Nationwide it has resulted in 1000 people committed to monthly contributions. The NP's political strategy is to support progressive candidates in elections only if they have a concrete chance to "win". This has resulted in a winning ratio of 77 of 110 elections. Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP. [...]

The political entourage included [...] and Barack Obama, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer's vacant seat.
