Having recently lost his son, don't expect Dr Dre to drop the highly anticipated 'Detox' anytime soon. Instead, just reminisce on the classic 'The Chronic' with the following. Now, most if not all hip hop heads have checked the full album, but for those casual fans, maybe the only tracks you have heard from 'The Chronic' have been 'ain't nuttin but a G thang,' 'fuck wit dre day (and everybody's celebratin'),' 'let me ride,' and 'bitches ain't shit.' That's unfortunate for you. Good news though, I will give you two tracks which are 'lesser known' to casual fans of hip-hop, and they will blow you away. Oh yeah, and if you're a strict feminist, don't listen to these songs.

The 14th anniversary of nocturnal wonderland is just a few weeks away. I am not sure if you will believe this or not, but Paul van Dyke actually isn't headlining! That makes me so excited you have no idea. I am so sick of that guy, and the other major trance acts, hogging America's dance music spot light. Seriously, what if there was a massive with headliners a long the lines of Booka Shade or Gui Boratto. I think that would be pretty cool. Of course the headliner on what I presume will be the main stage is Above & Beyond. Lame considering last year they had The Chemical Brothers who have some of the best visuals since Pink Floyd's lazer shows in the 70's. But, surprisingly another stage has Richie Hawtin headlining. However, I am not sure if that is the case or not because the set times have yet to be released and it seems like Dubfire, also playing in the same room, would be the most likely headliner for this type of crowd. Other notable acts performing are Dubfire's sidekick Sharam, Digitalism (Live), So Me, Le Castle Vania, Claude Vonstroke, Infected Mushroom (Live), Christopher Lawrence and Planet of the Drums (aka one of the few DnB groups I know). Desde tomar banho no meio de 30 pessoas (com água gelada); passar fome e morrer de sede por ter preguiça de andar 100m até à zona da comida/bebida; não conseguir dormir a partir das 10h da manhã devido ao calor porque montei a tenda à noite e aquela treta ficou ao sol; usar umas wannabe casas de banho que cheiravam pior que eu sei lá o quê; passar as tardes debaixo de um toldo a morrer de calor, deitada num colchão na conversa com o pessoal do acampamento e a fumar coisinhas que fazem rir; ser entrevistada pela MTV e ser um fiasco total, por não estar nas melhores condições; desde os maravilhosos concertos e do fantástico Kubic com aqueles cubos azuis a piscarem de acordo com a música; desde acordar com uma pronta para fumar, até às trips todas desde segunda(4 de Agosto). Tudo, mas tudo parte do que é ir ao Sudoeste.

O melhor concerto de todos sem sombra de dúvida. Excelente video wall, excelentes efeitos de luzes.
Aquele freaky clown e as silhuetas azuis e vermelhas, foram qualquer coisa.

Os Cut Copy também não estiveram nada mal. Presentearam-nos com o seu indie electrónico que dá mesmo aquele bixinho pra dançar! Mas a culminância foi mesmo nas músicas: "Out There on the Ice", "Hearts on Fire" e "Lights and Music" que puseram toda a malta a cantar e a dançar.

Franz Ferdinand

Franz Ferdinand foi de facto um concerto meão. Falhas e cortes de som constantes, um público pouco entusiasmado, percalços de ritmo da parte do baterista, etc. O que lhes salvou mesmo a noite foi o "This Fire" que alegrou um pouco mais o público, mesmo tendo sido apresentado numa versão diferente.
