MENJALANKAN PROGRAM LEBIH CEPAT Freeware Launchy memiliki fungsi yang sangat banyak sehingga harus ada pada setiap PC. Mempercepat jalannya sebuah aplikasi merupakan salah satu kemampuannya. Apabila Anda telah menginstalasi Launchy, akan tampak sebuah shortcut dalam folder “Startup” di menu Start. Dengan demikian, tiap proses startup Windows, tool ini juga akan dijalankan.

Tool ini baru kelihatan setelah Anda menekan “Alt+spasi”. Di dalamnya terdapat sebuah input box sederhana. Kini, ketikkan nama program yang ingin Anda jalankan. Dengan huruf pertama saja, Launchy akan berusaha memilih software yang tepat sesuai input yang Anda masukkan. Begitu program yang diinginkan tampak dalam list-nya, klik untuk menjalankan program tersebut.

Dengan format ini, isi dokumen tidak mudah disalin sehingga aman untuk dikirim ke relasi-relasi Anda. Untuk membuat format PDF ini, Anda bisa menggunakan GhostScript dan printer-driver FreePDF-XP. Dengan program ini, Anda tidak perlu mengeluarkan biaya besar untuk membuat format PDF.

Setelah menginstalasi kedua program tadi, Anda dapat membuat PDF untuk seluruh dokumen yang Anda miliki. Program FreePDF-XP diintegrasikan sebagai printer biasa di dalam Windows. Program yang bagus untuk me-restore file tersebut adalah Recuva. Dengan sekali klik pada program ini, Anda dapat men-scan media data. Pada klik ke-2, Anda bisa merestore data yang hilang. Untuk mencegah tertimpanya file yang belum diselamatkan, sebaiknya jangan menyimpan Recuva dan data yang telah diselamatkan pada partisi yang sama.

RESTORE POINT Sudah lama Windows XP menawarkan sebuah fungsi praktis untuk membackup melalui System Restore. Dengan program bawaan Windows XP ini, jika PC mengalami masalah akibat sebuah driver atau aplikasi yang tidak mau jalan, Anda dapat kembali ke area (titik) sebelumnya yang masih stabil melalui “Start|All Programs|Accessories|System Tools|System Restore”. Cara kedua adalah melalui CD Setup Windows.

Namun sayang, titik restore tersebut dibuat oleh System Restore sesuai keinginan program. Dengan freeware SysRestorePoint, Anda dapat membuat sendiri restore point untuk dibackup. Untuk melakukannya, aktifkan program SysRestorePoint terlebih dahulu. Pada sistem yang rawan, sebaiknya Anda disarankan untuk menyimpan program dalam folder “Startup”. Dengan demikian, Anda bisa memiliki restore point yang lebih banyak lagi.

HAPUS FILE AKTIF Apabila PC yang Anda gunakan sudah terinfeksi, ada indikasi malware telah bersarang dalam sistem, sebaiknya segera lakukan pembersihan. Namun, upaya penghapusan malware tersebut sering kali gagal karena malware tersebut sedang aktif. Hal ini bisa disebabkan oleh sebuah software atau driver yang buruk. Apabila Anda menemukan maslah seperti ini, program Unlocker bisa membantu.

Setelah proses instalasi program ini selesai, akan tampak sebuah entry baru dalam menu konteks. Untuk menggunakannya, klik kanan pada file yang akan di hapus lalu pilih option “Unlocker”. Apda startup Winodws berikutnya, file tersebut baru-baru benar dihapus.

Jaringan: Kontrol lebih besar atas jaringan dan download

WARNING: This will COMPLETELY remove WIndows XP from your EEE

Requirements:

-A usb drive or SD card that is AT LEAST 2gb large, it will use the entire disk space

Procedure:

1. Download this torrent: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4345648/Asus_eee_pc_1000_Xandros_Restore_Disk

2. Unzip the boot.rar file

3. Mount the Asus1000.iso with a tool like Daemon Tools

4. Plug in your USB drive or SD card

5. Run AsusSetup.exe and follow its prompts

6. Plug in the USB drive into your EEE and turn on the computer, press F2 to enter the BIOS

7. Press the right arrow key to the Boot Tab

8. Go to "Hard DIsk Drives" and make your USB drive or SD card the "1st Drive"

9. Go to "Boot Device Priority" and make sure that the 1st boot device is your drive

10. Save and Exit the BIOS and the installer takes care of the rest!

Now you will have Xandros fully installed on your EEE.

Microsoft responde así a las necesidades de un mercado, al que la crisis obliga a cuestionarse la adquisición de máquinas equipadas con Vista, más caras, y cuya mala fama de la última versión de Windows no acaba de convencer.

El fabricante de software acaba de gastarse cantidades millonarias en campañas publicitarias, tanto para recuperar la imagen de su marca y de su producto como para lavar la imagen de Vista.

Han pasado 3 meses desde que cambie de sistema operativo, toda mi vida acostumbrado a utilizar Micro$oft Window$, y sinceramente no he notado algún cambio, o molestia con este SO. Para empezar la distribución que escogí es Ubuntu
, esta distro pareció la mejor para dar el salto, aparte de que tenia los cds que me enviaron, ya que mi computador no tiene quemadora de CD, jeje.

La instalacion fue algo tardada, pero aprovechaba que le habia agregado a mi maquina 512 mb de memoria, (con 256 mb no creo que lo hubiera hecho), mi primera impresion fue que de duda, ya que no sabria como configurar cosas, la teminal era de miedo, y esos estigmas que leia mientras estaba en windows. Mi primer problema lo tuve con mi impresora, gracias a la gran comunidad de Ubuntu, pude solucionarlo, de ahi en adelante no tuve problema alguno.

Casi todo Lo que utilizaba en Windows XP lo tengo aqui, Navegador, IM, E-Mail, Ofimatica, Programas de Graficos, etc. Quizas lo unico que extrañe son los juegos, durante los primeros meses batalle mucho para poder jugar Metal Slug, que era mi diversion, pero nunca lo consegui, y con MAME, el juego no corria igual, quizas en ese momento me senti un poco decepcionado, pero tambien descubri que mi computadora ya un poco anciana (5 años y medio) tenia un segundo aire, aparte podia ejecutar juegos como OpenArena, Doom o Nexius sin ningun problema.

En el sentido familiar, ya que comparto la computadora con mi hermana, el poder crear cuentas de usuario limitadas me ha ayudado mucho, cada quien tiene su ambiente su trabajo, e inclusive mis padres tienen una cuenta, y pudieron a usar la computadora para sus asuntos de negocios, algo que en el pasado no podian.

Ha sido poco el tiempo como para desarrollar una descripción total de esto, pero creo que en todos los sentidos estoy satisfecho, este proyecto lleva mas de 17 años, mejorando la experiencia del usuario, y me alegra ser parte de ese proyecto.

Solução: No arquivo em anexo estão os três arquivos que você deve colocar no script de logon do usuário. Você deve criar uma chamada ao arquivo de extensão .cmd. Esses arquivos proporcionam uma varredura na verificação do horário de verão no registro, conferem a data e alteram apenas se a nova data ainda não havia sido mudada. Oh yeah, i'm totally over being sick!  Go me.  Not so good for steve who got sick because of me ):

~~ON A NOT SO GOOD NOTE.  A couple days ago when I logged onto the computer...my whole name was taken off the computer.  I mean my log in name for windows xp was gone.  WHAT?  The only other person in the world who would do that is my sister who is allowed on this computer too.  And that is fucked up and she has no fucking clue.  I had all my stumble bookmarks that I wanted to keep, all my passwords and applications.  UGH FUCKING STUPID.  That's why I havn't been updating.

Going to a pychic fair with ash today in west warren.  I'm acually pretty excited to hang out with her and see all this cool dorky shit we love oh so much!

TouchScreen :
The biggest change in windows 7 is that it will be the first consumers OS that is specialized in the use of touch screens. Nowadays you see almost all PC manufacturers bring TouchScreen models or screens of their flagship products. This is obviously a preparation for Windows 7, since many people think that globally 70% of all Windows users will switch to windows 7 in the next 2 years after its release. This new function could even be a threat to Mac OSX and the Linux distributions which will not support touchscreen features directly.

Users Account Control :
A next fact that was already released is that windows 7 will provide a much more flexible version of the dreaded Users Account Control or UAC. UAC will pop-up less frequently and advanced users will have the ability to control when they would like UAC to appear. Since UAC is a dramatic improvement to the Windows security it will not be deleted.

Interface :
What the interface shall bring is still unknown, many people have released photoshopped versions of what Windows 7 is going to look like, but none of them is real. Nobody can know how Windows 7 looks like at the moment since all Milestones just resemble Windows Vista. This is something we will know October the 28th, when Microsoft will reveal the interface.

Compatibility :
Microsoft announced Windows 7 to be fully compatible with all Windows Vista applications. This is great news for all developers. There will even be a windows development kit for Touch-applications available.

Applications :
Many applications will be revamped, the calculator, the Wordpad, paint,...
Also some applications will disappear to make room for Live versions online, e.g. Windows Picture Gallery, Windows Mail, etc.

Stability & Weight :
Windows 7 will be directly much more stable than Windows Vista was at its release. Although Microsoft decided not to include a new kernel, it will be much faster than Windows Vista.

Release date :
Windows 7 will be released somewhere between the spring of 2010 and the spring of 2011.
